The National Small Industries Corporation Limited (NSIC) has pledged under their CSR Initiatives a sum of Rs. 8,96,000/- for distributing 160 tricycles to differently abled persons. NSIC has also sanctioned a total amount of Rs. 4, 99,950/- for conducting medical camps at 8 different places for differently abled persons. The total amount of Rs. 13, 95,950 has been sanctioned under the project title of "Medical Assistances to Differently Abled" under Corporate Social Responsibility (C.S.R.) Initiatives. A total of 3333 differently abled persons will be treated through these medical camps which will be held at the different BPA campuses at Vastrapur, Bareja, Bhuj, Bavla, Naaz, Palanpur, Sayla and in Deskoi Taluka. Shri. Ravindra Nath, CMD, NSIC, inaugurated the function as Chief Guest and distributed tricycles to 55 beneficiaries.This is the first distribution function and medical camp held on BPA premises. On this occasion Mrs. Niti Sethi, Company Secretary -NSIC and Mr. P.K. Jha, Zonal General Manager- NSIC, Ahmedabad were also present.
Ministry of MSME is in the process of revising the MSME Policy with the aim of establishing innovative models for enhancing the competitiveness of MSMEs in India. In this context, it was observed that Malaysia has successful models for development of Micro & Small Enterprises (MSEs) which may be suitable for adoption in India. Malaysia being one of the prominent members of ASEAN, there are potential opportunities for Indian MSMEs to have closer cooperation with Institutions/companies in Malaysia.In this reference, an official delegation led by Shri Madhav Lal, Secretary, MSME and accompanied by Shri Ravindra Nath, CMD, NSIC ,Shri Manoj Lal,General Manager,NSIC visited Malaysia recently to have a comprehensive overview of the MSME sector in Malaysia. The Indian delegation had extensive interaction with various Agencies engaged in MSME development in Malaysia. The learnings from these interactions will be discussed in length to analyse how they can be adopted in the Indian setting.​
During his visit to India International Trade Fair (IITF 2014) Shri Dinesh Rai, Chairman, Warehousing Development and Regulatory Authority (WDRA)graced NSIC-Techmart India 2014 and applauded the Marketing Platform created by NSIC for the MSME sector to display their new products and Technologies. Shri P.Dey,GM(SG), Shri Manoj Lal, GM,NSIC and Shri Paramjeet Singh,GM were present on this occasion.
NSIC has set up Training Cum Incubation Centres for Incubation of Unemployed youth for setting up new Small Enterprise and skill development all over the country. During his recent visit to NSIC, Hon`ble Minister of State,MSME, Shri Giriraj Singh visited the NSIC Training cum Incubation Centre and appreciated the efforts of NSIC in creating self-employment opportunities through Incubation program of NSIC . The Hon`ble Minister of State, MSME was briefed by Shri Ravindra Nath, CMD, NSIC about the program. The NSIC Incubation program is a integrated support by way of providing hands on training on working projects.It provides necessary facilities for prospective entrepreneurs and start up companies to learn product manufacturing processes coupled with technology development, Business development, etc under one roof. NSIC has entered into MOU agreement with Kotak Mahindra Bank recently to strengthen its sustained endeavors towards facilitating credit for sustainable development of MSMEs in the country. Under this tie up arrangement Kotak Mahindra Bank becomes the 28th commercial bank to enter into this unique alliance with NSIC. This agreement not only aims to support MSMEs to meet their credit needs but also encourages them for being rated under Performance and Credit Rating Scheme in order to combat emerging global challenges. The MOU was signed by Sh. Gaurang Dixit, General Manager (Finance) NSIC and Sh. Sumit Bali, Division Head, Business Banking Assets of Kotak Mahindra Bank in the presence of CMD (NSIC) Sh. Ravindra Nath.
NSIC participated in “IKAT ART MELA” (Hyderabad) organised by M/s. Pochampally Handloom Park Ltd. Shri Ravindra Nath, CMD, NSIC along with Shri P. Udaykumar, Director (P&M) visited the “IKAT ART MELA”. CMD NSIC encouraged all participating weavers units to avail the benefits of NSIC B 2 C Portal for global marketing of their product.
Shri S.N. Tripathi, IAS, Jt. Secretary, MSME during his recently visit to IKAT ART MELA” (Hyderabad) appreciated the NSIC- Exhibition-cum-Marketing Development Business Park Hyderabad. The newly built EMDBP is a five-storied building with a covered area of approx.15,000 sqm and the ground floor is utilized for the exhibition where the exhibition “IKAT ART MELA” organised by M/s. Pochampally Handloom Park Ltd., & MSME-EXPO-2014 was organised by MSME-DI, Hyderabad.The theme of MSME-expo was Vendor Development. 100 units including Banks & PSUs displayed their products/schemes during this exhibition.The NSIC participation was managed by Shri B.Sivaram,DGM,NSIC-EMDBP Hyderabad.
