NSIC has signed an MoU with Automotive Skills Development Council (ASDC) to boost capacity building training in the automotive sector.

NSIC has signed an MoU with Automotive Skills Development Council (ASDC) to boost capacity building training in the automotive sector. This partnership will open new opportunities for youth, aspiring entrepreneurs and MSMEs with industry-relevant training, certifications and business opportunities in the automotive world.

The MoU was signed by Sh. Kartikeya Sinha, Director (Planning & Marketing), NSIC and Sh. Arindam Lahiri, CEO, ADSC in the presence of Dr. Subhransu Sekhar Acharya, Chairman-cum-Managing Director, NSIC and senior officials of both organizations.

NSIC entered into MOUs with various private sector banks such as Axis Bank, Dhanlaxmi Bank, Karnataka Bank, AU Small Finance Bank and IndusInd Bank

Towards the objective of facilitating availability, accessibility & affordability of credit to MSMEs, NSIC entered into MOUs with various private sector banks such as Axis Bank, Dhanlaxmi Bank, Karnataka Bank, AU Small Finance Bank and IndusInd Bank on 11th August, 2025 under its MSME Credit facilitation program.
The collaboration aims to extend handholding support to MSMEs and help them link to the formal financial system, with increased focus on the Banks to expand their outreach to deserving micro & small enterprises, the arrangement is expected to be a force multiplier in the efforts of Banks reach the last mile.
The Occasion witnessed august presence of Shri Jitan Ram Manjhi, Hon’ble Minister of MSME and Shri S.C.L. Das Secretary (MSME). The MoUs were exchanged between Shri Gaurav Gulati, Director (Finance), NSIC and senior officials from various banks in the presence of Ms. Mercy Epao, JS(SME), Dr. S. S. Acharya, CMD, NSIC and other senior officials from NSIC and banks.

Visit of Delegation from Ministry of Industry, Government of Thailand on August 6, 2025

A four-member delegation led by Mr. Supakit Boonsiri, Deputy Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Industry, Government of Thailand visited NSIC on August 6, 2025.
The delegation held detailed discussions with leadership of NSIC, focusing on avenues for enhancing bilateral cooperation in the MSME sector. The NSIC team was led by Dr. Subhransu Sekhar Acharya, Chairman and Managing Director, along with Mr. Kartikeya Sinha, Director (P&M).
As part of the visit, the delegation was given a guided tour of NSIC’s Advanced Training Centre at Okhla. The tour was facilitated by Mr. O.P. Singh, Senior General Manager (Technology), Mr. Rajesh Kumar, Senior General Manager & Centre Head- NTSC Okhla and officials from the International Cooperation Division. The visiting team was briefed about NSIC’s advanced training modules and initiatives aimed at promoting Industry 4.0 adoption among Indian MSMEs.

Visit of Delegation from High Commission of Papua New Guinea (PNG), New Delhi on August 5, 2025

A delegation from the High Commission of Papua New Guinea (PNG), New Delhi, led by Mr. Philbert Keaike, First Secretary accompanied by Mr. Barun Mukherjee, Finance Officer visited NSIC on August 5, 2025. 
The visit involved discussions with NSIC leadership and revolved around enhancing bilateral business cooperation with PNG, particularly in setting up of incubation Centre, imparting skill development trainings and creating linkages between MSMEs of both countries. The NSIC team was led by Dr. Subhransu Sekhar Acharya, CMD, Mr. Kartikeya Sinha, Director (P&M) and Mr. Gaurav Gulati, Director (Finance). 
The delegation was also given a guided tour of NSIC’s Rapid Incubation Centre & Advanced Training Centre, Okhla by Mr. O.P. Singh, SGM (Technology), Mr. Rajesh Kumar, SGM & Centre Head-NTSC Okhla and the team from International Cooperation Division.

Shri K. Moses Chalai, Secretary, DPE, Ministry of Finance (GOI), alongwith other officials of the DPE visited NSIC-Technical Services Centre at Okhla.

Shri K. Moses Chalai, Secretary (DPE), Ministry of Finance (GOI) visited NSIC-Technical Services Centre at Okhla, New Delhi. They were accompanied by Dr. S. S. Acharya, CMD, NSIC, Shri Kartikeya Sinha, Director (P&M), NSIC and Shri Gaurav Gulati, Director (Fin.), NSIC. During this visit Secretary (DPE) was apprised of various state of the art facilities for Skilling and Entrepreneurship Development. He was given live demonstration of Drone Soccer and AR /VR lab. He also visited the Advanced Training Centre and witnessed Industry 4.0 training facilities and opened a new robotic centre at the facility.  On this occasion, he also distributed certificates to trainees who successfully completed their training program of Mobile repair, Advance electrician, Design training and Incubation for self-entrepreneurship. Secretary, DPE appreciated the initiatives of the NTSC Okhla and emphasized the need for similar centres across the country for socio economic upliftment of the youth and society

In sync with Govt of India objective of democratization of e-commerce, Ministry of MSME has launched Trade Enablement And Marketing Initiative (TEAM)

In sync with Govt of India objective of democratization of e-commerce, Ministry of MSME has launched Trade Enablement And Marketing Initiative (TEAM) where it is endeavoured to onboard 5 lakh MSEs over digital commerce platforms during next 2 years. NSIC is implementing this initiative of Ministry of MSME,GOI. As part of outreach efforts of the scheme, NSIC has been organising Awareness programs for the benefit of the MSEs. An awareness program was organised at Siliguri where NSIC opened an office on July 17,2025. Representatives of industries associations in the region, Seller Network Participants, ONDC, senior officials from MSME DFO, KVIC, State Govt, Banks and FIs and entrepreneurs attended the event. During his address, Dr. S S Acharya CMD, exhorted the MSEs to take advantage of the TEAM Initiative aiming to onboard 5 lakh enterprises in 2 years out of which 50 percent shall be women enterprises. A detailed presentation on the scheme was made by Shri Vidyasagar Singh, SGM,NSIC.

To strengthen its outreach and serve the dynamic and rapidly growing MSME sector in Eastern India better, NSIC opened an office in Siliguri, West Bengal. 

The office was inaugurated by Dr. S.S Acharya, CMD, NSIC in presence of senior industry leaders of the region besides Dr. Anupam Gayen, Zonal General Manager, Kolkata Zone and other senior NSIC officials. The event was followed by a Workshop on digital onboarding of MSEs through TEAM  initiative.

A mega awareness program on National SC ST Hub and other schemes of Ministry of MSME, Govt of India was organised at Koraput, Odisha. The program was graced by Honorable MoS, Ministry of MSME, Govt of India Sushri Sobha Karandlaje jee, Minister of MSME, Govt of Odisha, Shri Gokulanand Mallik jee, Minister of Skill Development and Industries, Shri Sampad Charan Swain jee, Minister of Mass Education Shri Nityanand Gond jee besides senior officials of Govt of India and Govt of Odisha. Dr Subhransu Acharya, CMD, NSIC delivered the welcome address and briefed on the aspirational initiatives of Govt of India for MSMEs including the inclusive initiative of National SC ST Hub scheme for empowering more and more SC ST entrepreneurs participate in the public procurement system.

In its endeavor to support more and more MSMEs with credit support from Banks, NSIC entered into a MOU with IDBI Bank on 11th July, 2025.

In its endeavor to support more and more MSMEs with credit support from Banks, National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC) entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with IDBI Bank on 11th July, 2025 under its MSME Credit facilitation program. This MoU shall be the cornerstone for referring potential MSME customers to IDBI Bank who have expressed interest in their Loan Products. This arrangement of financing by IDBI Bank shall be extended to the projects relating to MSME sector at different places where bank branches are located or other important industrial centers or clusters throughout the country. 

The MoU was signed by Mr. Sanjay Rautela, Chief General Manager on behalf of NSIC and Mr. Chandra Shekhar Arya, General Manager, Priority sector, IDBI Bank, Head Office, Mumbai in the presence of Dr. Subhransu Sekhar Acharya, CMD NSIC & Sh. Gaurav Gulati, Director (Finance), NSIC in presence of other senior officials of NSIC and IDBI Bank.

To provide a further fillip, inspire and take stock of efforts of the Central Govt. Organisations engaged in serving the MSME sector in the state of Maharashtra, Honorable Minister Shri Jitan Ram Manjhi ji visited these institutions. During this visit, he visited NSIC office at Mumbai. While interacting with the officers of NSIC, he exhorted every one to take pride in the work they are doing as it is directly contributing to Nation building. He appreciated the inclusive growth efforts of National SC ST Hub offices and assured support of Govt of India in their endeavors. The interaction was attended by Ms. Mercy Epao, Joint Secretary, Ministry of MSME, Dr. Subhransu Acharya, CMD, NSIC, Shri Manoj Singh, Zonal Head, Mumbai Zone besides several senior officials from NSIC and NSSH offices of Maharashtra.

Udyami Sammelan 2025 : The Rising East

"Udyami Sammelan 2025 : The Rising East" a mega MSME conclave of entrepreneurs of Eastern and North Eastern region of the country was held at National Library, Kolkata on June 28, 2025. Organised by Laghu Udyog Bharti (LUB) an apex industry association of Small businesses alongwith Ministry of Culture, Govt of India, the program was graced by Honorable  Union Ministers Shri Ashwini Vaishnav and Shri Arjun Meghwal besides Padmashri Sajjan Bhajanka, CMD, Century Ply, national leadership of LUB etc. CMD Dr. Subhransu Acharya was a distinguished guest on the occasion. Speaking during the event, he emphasized on focussing on quality competitiveness of our MSMEs, increased productivity and incremental value addition that would propel India to a developed nation status. The program witnessed enthusiastic participation from Banks, Financial institutions, Govt officials etc besides a large number of entrepreneurs.
