In order to sensitise the industries in the MSME sector and build awareness about marketing avenues available more particularly in digital space, The MSME Marketing Conclave was organised by National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC), Bengaluru under the Trade Enablement & Marketing (TEAM) initiative of Ministry of MSME under the (Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance) RAMP programme on 10.10.2025 at the KASSIA Conference Hall, Bangalore. The Conclave was graced by Sushri Shobha Karandlaje, Hon’ble Minister of State, Ministry of MSME, as the Chief Guest and other dignitaries present included the Sh. Ateesh Kumar Singh, Joint Secretary-AFI, Ministry of MSME., Dr. Subhransu Sekhar Acharya, Chairman-cum-Managing Director, NSIC and Sri Ninganna S. Biradar, Vice-President, Karnataka Small Scale Industries Corporation (KASSIA).

NSIC, under the ITEC Programme of the Ministry of External Affairs, conducted a series of online trainings for officials from Myanmar Ministry of Industry. Covering nine technical courses—including Mechatronics, CNC, CAD/CAM, Digital Marketing, and Web Development etc., these training programs were conducted from January 13 to September 29, 2025. To mark the successful completion of these programs, a virtual Valedictory Session was held on September 29, 2025. The session featured addresses by Dr. Subhransu Sekhar Acharya, Chairman and Managing Director, NSIC, Mr. Kartikeya Sinha, Director (P&M), NSIC, along with senior officials from the Govt. of India and Myanmar. Dr. Acharya congratulated the trainees and awarded them E-certificates in recognition of their successful completion of the training. During the session, participants from Myanmar expressed their appreciation for the training and shared their learning experiences, commending the structured and effective delivery of courses

The 70th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of National Small Industries Corporation Ltd. (NSIC) was held on 30th Sept. 2025 at the registered office of the company at New Delhi. Dr. Subhransu Sekhar Acharya, CMD (NSIC) shared brief highlights of the year which included highest ever performance of the Company. NSIC, aligned with its mission, is dedicated to opening new avenues for the support, growth and empowerment of MSMEs. NSIC envisions facilitating access to advanced technology, fostering skill development, and broadening the outreach of Government of India initiatives to benefit a larger MSME ecosystem. The AGM was attended by the shareholders, all Directors including Govt. Nominee Directors, Statutory & Secretarial Auditor(s) and other senior officials of the Company.

In furtherance of the strengthening partnership between NSIC and the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise Development Agency (MSMEDA) of Egypt, under the framework of MoU signed last year, a MSMEDA Egypt Pavilion has been arranged at the UP International Trade Show (UPITS) 2025 being held from September 25-29, 2025 at the India Expo Centre & Mart, Greater Noida. The pavilion showcases the participation of five Egyptian enterprises at UPITS 2025. The initiative aims to provide Egyptian MSMEs with exposure to the Indian market while fostering opportunities for collaboration, networking, and bilateral trade. UPITS is a flagship event of the Govt. of UP, organized in collaboration with India Exposition Mart Limited (IEML). This year’s edition was formally inaugurated by the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi. The MSMEDA Egypt Pavilion was jointly inaugurated by Dr. Subhransu Sekhar Acharya, CMD, NSIC and His Excellency Mr. Kamel Zayed Galal, Ambassador of Egypt to India.

माननीय केंद्रीय मंत्री एमएसएमई, श्री जीतन राम मांझी, माननीय राज्य मंत्री, एमएसएमई, सुश्री शोभा करंदलाजे, अध्यक्ष केवीआईसी, श्री मनोज कुमार जी, सचिव एमएसएमई और अन्य गणमान्य व्यक्तियों की उपस्थिति में खादी एवं ग्रामोद्योग आयोग की मुख्य कार्यकारी अधिकारी श्रीमती रूपराशि और NSIC के अध्यक्ष एवं प्रबंध निदेशक डॉ. एस.एस. आचार्या ने वाराणसी में सेवा पर्व के अवसर एक ऐतिहासिक एमओयू का आदान-प्रदान कर एमएसएमई के विकास में एक नए युग की शुरुआत की । यह सहयोग “सरकार-के-रूप-में-समग्र” (Government-as-a-Whole) दृष्टिकोण के माध्यम से एक सहयोगी पारिस्थितिकी तंत्र बनाने और एमएसएमई को मजबूत करने का लक्ष्य रखता है, जिससे उन्हें विस्तारित बाज़ार पहुँच, डिजिटल दृश्यता और वैश्विक पहुँच सुनिश्चित हो सके। इस एमओयू के माध्यम से एनएसआईसी, एमएसएमई ग्लोबल मार्ट पोर्टल के जरिए केवीआईसी इकाइयों को उन्नत डिजिटल दृश्यता प्रदान करेगा, जिसमें 24×7 उत्पाद प्रदर्शन, निविदा अलर्ट, अनुबंध प्रदान की जानकारी, “कंट्री ई-पैविलियन” सुविधा के माध्यम से अंतरराष्ट्रीय व्यापार के अवसर आदि शामिल होंगे।

NSIC and Zoram Infrastructure & Industrial Development Corp. Ltd. (ZIDCO), a Govt. of Mizoram undertaking, have signed an MoU to support enterprise creation initiative at Mizoram. An Enterprise Creation Lab is proposed to be developed on a piece of land provided by the Govt. of Mizoram, that shall serve as a hub for entrepreneurship, innovation, training, and skill development, catering to youth across Mizoram and the North East. Under the MoU, NSIC will act as the knowledge partner and share its expertise in selection & procurement of machinery and development of training programs & modules, while ZIDCO will handle construction and run training programs in emerging service-oriented sectors, such as digital marketing, design, languages, event and hospitality management etc. The MoU was signed by Shri Kartikeya Sinha, Dir.(P&M), NSIC, and Shri L.P. Lalchangkima, MD, ZIDCO, in the presence of Shri Lalmuanpuia Punte, MLA & Adviser to CM, Mizoram, and Shri R. Lalrodingi, OSD to CM, Mizoram

NSIC, on behalf of the Ministry of MSME, Government of India, successfully hosted the 4th India–Taiwan SME Cooperation Forum: Driving the Future of Automotive & EVs on September 11, 2025, at the Banquet Hall, India Expo Centre, Greater Noida. The event was held alongside the 5th EV India Expo 2025. The Forum commenced with opening remarks from the Co-chairs—Ms. Mercy Epao, Joint Secretary (SME), Ministry of MSME, and Dr. GJ Lee, Director General, SMESA, Ministry of Economic Affairs, Taiwan. This was followed by keynote addresses delivered by Dr. Subhransu Sekhar Acharya, CMD, NSIC, and Dr. Lewis Chen, General Director, ITRI, Taiwan. Key segments of the Forum featured insightful presentations by industry experts and a thought-provoking panel discussion on emerging trends, challenges, and opportunities in the EV sector.

Dr. Subhransu Sekhar Acharya, Chairman and Managing Director, NSIC, along with Ms. Mercy Epao, Joint Secretary-SME, Ministry of MSME, jointly inaugurated the 5th edition of EV India Expo at the India Expo Centre & Mart, Greater Noida. Organized by Indian Exhibition Services in collaboration with the Green Society of India, the expo serves as a premier platform advancing India’s transition toward sustainable and electric mobility. The inauguration ceremony commenced with the traditional lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the dignitaries, followed by a guided tour of the exhibition. They commended the diverse array of cutting-edge innovations and emerging technologies showcased by participants in the electric vehicle sector.

Mr. Lewis Chen, General Director of the Commercialization and Industry Service Center, ITRI visited NSIC on September 09, 2025 along with Ms. Joyce Chang, Administrator, ITRI. During the visit, the delegation engaged in comprehensive discussions with NSIC leadership, exploring opportunities to strengthen bilateral collaboration in the MSME sector, with a particular emphasis on skill development in emerging technologies. The visiting officials were given an overview of NSIC’s advanced training programs and strategic initiatives designed to accelerate Industry 4.0 adoption among Indian MSMEs. The NSIC team was led by Dr. Subhransu Sekhar Acharya, Chairman and Managing Director, along with Mr. Kartikeya Sinha, Director (P&M). Also present during the discussion were Mr. O.P. Singh, Senior General Manager (Technology), and officials from the International Cooperation Division.

Shri Ravinder Singh (Indraj) Hon’ble Minister (Welfare of SC/ST/OBC Government of NCT of Delhi), visited NSIC Head Office & NSIC-Technical Services Centre, Okhla, New Delhi on 10th September 2025. During his visit, the Hon’ble Minister was given a detailed presentation on the activity of NSIC and the skilling initiatives of NTSCs. The same was followed by detailed deliberation on strengthening collaboration in the areas of skill development and entrepreneurship promotion for the weaker sections of society at Delhi. The Hon’ble Minister emphasized the need to resume training programs for marginalized groups and expressed his vision to replicate NSIC’s skilling and entrepreneurship model at few more locations at Delhi. He also interacted with the trainees’ undergoing programs at NTSC, appreciated their dedication, and lauded NSIC’s role in empowering youth through skill-based initiatives.

The National Small Industries Corporation celebrated seven decades of service to the nation on 02nd September, 2025 at New Delhi in the presence of eminent dignitaries including Shri Jitan Ram Manjhi, Hon’ble Minister of MSME, Govt. of India, Shri S.C.L. Das, Secretary (MSME), Dr. Rajneesh, AS & DC(MSME), Govt. of India, Ms. Mercy Epao, Joint Secretary (MSME) and Dr. S. S. Acharya, CMD, NSIC besides Directors of NSIC, senior officials from Govt. of India, Niti Aayog, Industry Associations and MSME enterprises etc. The dignitaries hailed the important role of NSIC in serving a vibrant sector of Indian economy and exhorted it to have a roadmap for serving the nation for next 70 years. The event witnessed inaugural Foundation Day Lecture delivered by the Chief Economic Advisor, Dr. V. Anantha Nageswaran who dealt with the current macro-economic scenario and the policy initiatives taken and proposed for further strengthening the Indian MSME Sector.

A high-level delegation led by Mr. Pham Sanh Chau, CEO of Vin Fast – a leading electric vehicle manufacturer from Vietnam visited NSIC on 28th August 2025 to explore scope for collaboration in electric vehicle sector. During the visit Sh. Kartikeya Sinha DPM, NSIC shared insights on NSIC’s various schemes and programs designed to support the MSME sector with respect to skill development and entrepreneurship creation. The delegation visited the NSIC Technical Services Centre, Okhla, where Mr. Chau witnessed the training modules and appreciated the technical services being provided to empower youth with industry-relevant skills. Mr. Chau further apprised the CMD, NSIC about VinFast’s company profile, its future roadmap and expressed keen interest in building a partnership with NSIC to strengthen cooperation in the EV sector.
