B.O., Hyderabad organized a Special Vendor Development Program for SC/ST Entrepreneurs along with South Central Railways. Shri D.C.Venkaiah, Dy. Chief Materials Manager, South Central Railways, Secunderabad explained about the various articles being purchased by Railways and procedure for vendor registration. Shri K.Srinivas, Zonal Head, South-II, NSIC explained the various facilities that can be availed by the SC/ST Entrepreneurs. Around 25 SC/ST Entrepreneurs participated in the program out of which 14 units (9 SC Units & 5 SC Units) submitted their vendor registration application forms with the documents for becoming vendors with Railways. Also present on the occasion were Shri Venkata Swamy, Sr.Branch Manager, B.O., Hyderabad, NSIC and other officials of the NSIC, Hyderabad Branch Office.
A Special Vendor Development Program for the SC/ST Entrepreneurs was organised by NSIC, Guwahati at Shillong, Meghalaya on 29th November, 2016. The program was inaugurated by Shri. Peter .W. Ingty IAS (The Additional Chief Secretary to the Govt. of Meghalaya) and Mrs. Mary Bell Roy (Director of Commerce & Industries, Govt. of Meghalaya) was guest of honour. Shri. J.K. Mahanta CGM (NE), NSIC gave the welcome speech and apprised the participants about the benefits of such program.<br/> The officials present of buying departments were Shri. Dipak Kumar (2nd in Command), 67 battalion CRPF, Smt. R.T. Kharbudon (Chief Accounts Officer) Department of Custom, Govt. of India, Shri. D. Paul (Dy. General Manager) BSNL, North East Circle –I and Shri. Kaushik Sharma (Asst. NSIC has renewed its MOU agreement with Bank of Maharashtra under Bank Tie up Scheme on 28th November 2016.The renewal of MOU heralds sustained joint endeavours by the NSIC and Bank of Maharashtra to help MSMEs in getting credit and empowering them to withstand the global competition. The agreement was signed by Sh. RajanTrehan, General Manager, NSIC and Sh. Prashant R Khatavkar, Dy.General Manager, Bank of Maharashtra. Present on this occasion were Sh. Vasant Mhaske, Dy. General Manager (Credit), Head Office Bank of Maharashtra and Ms. Himani Shali, Manager (Bank Credit Facilitation Scheme) from NSIC.
The Government of India in 2015 notified that ,the day Constitution was adopted, will be observed as `Samvidhan Divas` to promote constitutional values amongst the Citizens of the country. On 26thNov.2016 , NSIC celebrated Constitution Day at NSIC Exhibition Hall, Okhla Industrial Estate, New Delhi. The Program was inaugurated by Shri K.K.Jalan, Secretary, Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises, Government of India and was presided by Shri Ravindra Nath,CMD,NSIC ,Shri.S.N.Tripathi,AS&DC(MSME),and Directors on Board NSIC ,Shri P.Udayakumar and Shri A.K.Mittal . To commemorate the program, Shri K.K.Jalan, Secretary,MSME read the Preamble to the Constitution with all the NSIC employees .Eminent Speakers Ms.Pinky Anand, Additional Solicitor General of India and Shri .S.K.Sharma Former Secretary ,Lok Sabha and Delhi Legislative Assembly gave a talk on the Framing of the Constitution and its relevance to the Industry. . NSIC Branch Office, Chandigarh organised a Interaction Meeting of MSMEs of the region with Shri K. K. Jalan, Secretary (MSME), Government of India on 22.11.2016 at PHD House, Chandigarh. The objective of the meeting was to understand MSMEs point of view on various government schemes for MSMEs especially those of NSIC and the areas of interventions required. Representatives from various Industry Associations of the region participated in the meet. During the meet, Secretary (MSME) also highlighted that registration on MSME data bank portal is mandatory which will entail them to avail benefits being provided under various schemes of Ministry of MSME, Govt. of India. Shri Ravindra Nath, CMD, NSIC also interacted with participants and apprised them of NSIC’s Schemes including newly launched ‘Online Finance Facilitation Centre’. He also informed that feedback committees will be constituted in industrial areas to get the feedback from the industry associations so that the required modifications can be incorporated in various schemes.
Shri K. K. Jalan, Secretary (MSME), Government of India, visited NSIC office at Chandigarh on 22.11.2016. He was received by Shri Ravindra Nath, CMD, NSIC and Shri Rajesh Jain, Zonal General Manager (North-II). During the visit Secretary (MSME) interacted with all the officials at B.O Chandigarh and reviewed the performance & activities of NSIC in the region.
NSIC and Technical Education Department, Government of Haryana signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for setting up of Technology Centre at Neemka, Faridabad (Haryana). The MoU was signed by Shri Ravindra Nath, CMD, NSIC and Shri Anil Malik, IAS, Principal Secretary , Technical Education Department, Government of Haryana on 22.11.2016 in presence of Shri D.S.Dhesi, Chief Secretary, Government of Haryana and Shri K.K. Jalan, Secretary, Ministry of MSME, Government of India at Chandigarh. The proposed centre shall impart training in the areas for design of Tools, Moulds, Jigs & Fixtures, Operations of CNC Machines, Robotics, Industrial Automation etc. In addition the testing facilities for the testing of material like Ferrous, Non-Ferrous, Rubber and Plastics shall be available to the Industries through Technology Centre at Neemka, Faridabad. NSIC holds a meeting with Industry Associations on Demonetization Shri B.H. Anil Kumar, Joint Secretary (ARI), Ministry of MSME, Government of India informed the representatives various MSME Associations of Karnataka about the benefits of Demonetization on MSME sector during a meeting organized at NSIC Bengaluru Office to create awareness about Demonetization. NSIC has been recognized by the industry on various occasions for its dedicated services to MSMEs in the country. Recently, Shri. P. Ravikumar, Zonal Head (South-I), NSIC was bestowed “Best Recognition Award”. <br/> Hon’ble Home Minister of Karnataka presented him the said award. Also present on the occasion were Mrs. Ratna Prabha, Additional Chief Secretary to Govt. of Karnataka, Mrs. Kiran Majumdar, Chairman – Biocon Limited, Mrs. Lalitha Kumara Mangalam, Chairperson, National Commission for Women, Mrs. Elizabeth, Founder & CEO of WEConnect INTERNATIONAL.
Shri Ravindra Nath, CMD, NSIC took a review meeting on the performance of NSIC Offices under West Zone on 04th - 05th November, 2016 at Mumbai. During the meeting CMD, NSIC emphasized on the need to increase reach of NSIC amongst MSME sector in the region. He also advised NSIC offices to work more closely with the Industry Associations of the Region and take NSIC’s Schemes / Programs at their door-step and also discussed on the strategies to be adopted by the Branches to excel in their performance in rest of the five months.<br/> Shri Gaurang Dixit, Sr. General Manager, NSIC and Shri R.A. 1st Industries Feedback Committee Meeting of Stakeholders on Exhibition/ Marketing Assistance Scheme of NSIC was held on 11th November, 2016 at NSIC, New Delhi. The meeting was chaired by Sh. Ravindra Nath, CMD, NSIC. Also present were Sh. P. Udayakumar, Dir. NSIC conducted Industrial Feedback Committee Meeting of Stakeholders on the Raw Material Assistance and Raw Material supply Scheme on 11th November, 2016 at NSIC, New Delhi. Newly constituted Committee has representatives of FISME, Laghu Udyog Bharti, The Federation of Telengana and Andhra Pradesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Hyderabad, Naraina Industries Association New Delhi, Coimbatore District Small Industries Association, Ludhiana Machine Tool Manufacturing Association, Faridabad Industrial Association and KASSIA. <br/><br/> Objective of the meeting was to understand the effectiveness of the scheme and invite suggestions of the stakeholders to make the scheme more useful. Committee members discussed various features of the scheme, issues involved and also gave their useful feedback on the scheme. They also gave suggestions to enhance the features of the scheme.<br/> The meeting was chaired by Sh. Ravindra Nath, CMD, NSIC. Also present were Sh. P. Udayakumar, Dir.
