Sh. Ravindra Nath, CMD, NSIC along with Dato Sri Mustapa Mohamed, Hon`ble Minister of Trade & Industry, Government of Malaysia participated in a panel discussion on " SMEs Driving Economic Growth" organised by SME CORP., Malaysia at New Delhi on 31/3/2017. <br/> Sh. Ravindra Nath presented his views on Potential of both Malaysian and Indian SMEs working together in driving Economic Growth of both countries. Dr. Hafsah Hashmi, CEO, SME CORP. Malaysia moderated the session. Number of MSMEs from India and Malaysia participated in the event.

Dr. Hafsah Hashim, CEO, SME Corp., Malaysia along with Ms. Sharifah N.S.A. Bakar, Senior Director of Business Advisory & Support Div. and Ms. Azyani A. Hamid, Sr. Manager, International Cooperation Division, SME Corp. called upon Mr. Ravindra Nath, CMD, NSIC at NSIC Corporate Office on 30.03.2017 to discuss areas of mutual cooperation for SME development. Shri R.P. Singh General Manager, V- GUARD Industries and Shri T.S. Rajput, Deputy General Manager, NSIC-LBI, Kashipur inaugurated the job fair. <br/> The objective of the Job Fair was to provide employment opportunities through campus placement to trainees undergoing various demand driven, industry oriented skill/ Entrepreneurship development training courses run by the centre and other institutes in the vicinity i.e. Government Polytechnic, Kashipur, Govt. ITI, Kashipur, Bazpur and Jaspur, Shriram Institue of Management & Technology. <br/> The 07 companies from divergent fields like M/s. J.S. Industries, Kashipur, M/s. V-Guard Industries Ltd., Kashipur, M/s. Tosha International, Kashipur, M/s. Good Wear Fashions, Pantnagar, M/s. Kashipur Agro Industries Pvt. Ltd., M/s. Vectus Industries Limited, Mahuakheraganj, M/s. Akanschha Beauty Parlor, Kashipur participated in the event and selected candidates as per their requirement. <br/> An interview was conducted to screen the right candidates for right job by these companies. 325 trainees appeared for the screening test and out of them 30 trainees were shortlisted for placement by these companies. <br/> Dr. Nrupendra Sharma Asstt. Shri Ravindra Nath, CMD, NSIC, along with Shri A. K. Mittal, Director (Finance), and Shri P. Udayakumar, Director (Planning & Marketing) welcomed Dr. Ramesh Bhatt, Ex. Professor, IIM, Ahmedabad, Prof. Adya Prasad Pandey, Vice-Chancellor, Manipur University and Smt. Geeta Goti, National President, Confederation of Women Entrepreneurs, Hyderabad, who have been recently appointed as Independent Directors on the Board of NSIC. NSIC (Guwahati) in association with Manipur Industries Development Council organized 4th Imphal Expo 2017 on 20th March, 2017. Sri L.Lakher, IAS, Principal Secretary (T. C & I), Govt. of Manipur at Iboyaima Sumang Lila Sanglen, Imphal, Manipur inaugurated the Expo in the presence of Shri J.K. Mahanta, Zonal Head, NSIC (NE) and Shri P. Loken Singh, Chairman, MIDC and Shri.Ph.Khangmeidun, CEO, KVIB, Manipur. <br/> <br/> NSIC set up 100 Stalls to display the product of MSMEs from North-East from different Segment like- Handloom, Textiles, Handicraft, Decorative Items, Food Processing, IT, Jewellery and other service related Industries.

NSIC trainee from Guwahati, India awarded as the BEST DESINGER IN Tiffany`s Fashion Week Paris on 06.03.2017. Mr. Kunal Kaushik, after training on Fashion Designing during the year 2009 from NSIC, Technical Service Centre (TIC) at Guwahati he availed a loan of Rs. 5,00,000/- from Assam Gramin Vikash Bank under the NSIC Bank Credit Facilitation Scheme to set up production unit. He was also assisted to participate in various International, Domestic Exhibitions and Trade Fairs under NSIC Marketing Assistance Scheme.

With the theme <b>Be Bold for Change</b> ,NSIC celebrated the International Women`s Day 2017 with its women employees with much fanfare. The women employees participated with great enthusiasm. To mark the occasion, a Training program involving role plays on " Masters of First Impressions" and " Being ready for change and more adaptability " was organized to empower Women NSICians. <br/><br/> Speaking on the occasion, Shri Ravindra Nath,CMD,NSIC appreciated their efforts in disseminating the benefits of NSIC schemes amongst the MSME sector across the country. He said that women are the back bone of our Homes as also NSIC. They are born leaders and have the potential within them to bring prosperity, happiness and joy to this world. Shri P.Udayakumar, Director(P&M),NSIC and Shri A.K.Mittal, Director(Finance),NSIC also interacted with the participants. Sh. P Udayakumar, Director (P&M) participated in the National Level Vendor Development Program organised by MSME-DI, Ahemdabad and NSIC at Rajkot on 20.02.2017. Hon`ble Minister of State for MSME,GOI Shri Haribhai Parthibhai Chaudhary was the Chief Guest of the function.

Sh. P Udayakumar, Director (P&M) visited Sterlite Industries, Tuticorin on 04.02.2017 and held discussion for tie up for new Raw Materials for the MSME units thro NSIC offices .

Sh. P Udayakumar, Director (P&M) participated as the Chief Guest in the Programme organised by Rathinam College of Arts and Science , Coimbatore on 03-02-2017 and ??delivered a Lecture on "The impact of GST in Indian Economy" to the students and start up units.

Sh. P Udayakumar, Director (P&M) participated in the Aero India 2017 in Bangalore on 14.2.2017.The Event was graced by Sh. K.K. Jalan, Secretary, MSME who also visited the NSIC pavilion and the stalls put up by OEMs and Defence PSUs

Honourable Minister of State for MSME ,Government of India Shri Haribhai P. Chaudhary visited NSIC Technical Services Centre Rajkot on 20.02.2017 in the presence of Director (Planning and Marketing) NSIC ,New Delhi Shri P Udayakumar and Zonal General Manager-Central Shri P K Jaha .Shri Haribahi P. Chaudhary interacted with present staff ,faculties and trainees of Livelihood Incubation Centre (LBI) ,Rajkot (LBI) and appreciated the various skill development training courses undertaken at the aforesaid Centre which has benefitted people of Rajkot and in around in the area of wage employment and self employment at large .Shri Haribhai P. Chaudhary also visited the site where currently repair and renovation activities of shed underway for establishment of proposed Tool Room and have discussed about various machinery/equipments planned to be established in aforesaid proposed Tool Room for skill training in area of Die,mould ,press tools ,jigs ,fixtures ,gauges etc design and manufacturing .Shri Haribhai P. Chaudhary also visited Pump and Motor Testing Laboratory and Diesel Engine Testing laboratory at the Centre and have discussed about various types of Pumps ,Engines and Motors being tested there as per BIS Standard.
