NSIC won the ABP NEWS - CSR LEADERSHIP AWARDS in the category of ‘’Best use of CSR practices in various sectors’’ in the country. The award was received by Shri R. A. Bairwa, Zonal Head West, Mumbai.

Shri P. Udayakumar, Director (P&M), The National Small Industries Corporation Ltd.-NSIC participated in the programme as the Guest of Honour & Speaker in the SC/ST Entrepreneurship Development Programme organised by ICCAA on 05.02.2017 in Mumbai, India. </br> Hon’ble Member of Parliament (LS) Dr. Udit Raj, Member of Parliament and Hon’ble Minister of Social Justice of Maharashtra Shri Rajkumar Padole also graced the occasion as Chief Guests during the inauguration and valedictory function respectively.

Mr. Ravindra Nath, CMD, NSIC while sharing the platform with H.E. Cdr. Robert D Mugabe, Hon’ble President of Zimbabwe at 11th Symposium on “Research on Unlocking the Entrepreneurship-Bridging the Gap” appreciated the opportunities which exist between MSMEs of Zimbabwe and India. Mr. Ravindra Nath was the key international speaker invited in the Symposium by the Research Council of Zimbabwe to share his experiences on how India created an eco-system for building an enabling environment for Indian SMEs. <br> The symposium besides having the presence of Hon’ble President of Zimbabwe also had the presence of Vice President of Zimbabwe, top scientists and representatives of various SMEs of Zimbabwe and the Ambassador of India. <br> Mr. Nath was leading a delegation of 16 MSMEs of India to Zimbabwe at the instance of H.E. Mr. R. Masukai, Ambassador of India in Zimbabwe who was very instrumental in affirming that each visiting MSME from India finds right match for creating a suitable business alliance in Zimbabwe in the special Business event organized by Embassy of India in Harare. <br> Indian visiting MSMEs found Zimbabwe to be the land of opportunities for business and found various prospective partners especially in the field of food processing, bakery, soya bean milk plant, and other light engineering projects in the Business Event organized by Embassy of India specially for this purpose. <br> <a target="_blank" href="https://www.facebook.com/NSICLTD/photos/pcb.1340873269284016/1340873189284024/?type=3&theater"><font color="#FF6600">Click here to view more images.</font></a>

Shri Chandra Mohan Patowary, Hon’ble Minister of Parliamentary Affairs, Skill Development & Entrepreneurship,Industry and Commerce in Government of Assam inaugurated the 24th International Guwahati Trade Fair-2017 organized by NSIC, Guwahati in association with ITFAA in the presence of Shri Jayanta Mahanta, Chief General Manager, The National Small Industries Corporation Ltd.-NSIC(North East) and Shri J. Hazarika, President, ITFAA and Shri. NSIC Branch Office, Rourkela organized a sensitization Program for Development of SC / ST Entrepreneurs on 03rd February, 2017 at Rourkela. Shri Ravindra Nath, CMD, NSIC apprised the participants about the Schemes / Programs of Government of India for the development of SC/ST entrepreneurs. He also informed about the setting up of National SC-ST Hub at NSIC, New Delhi for providing support services to SC / ST entrepreneurs to enhance their competitiveness. More than 270 SC/ST entrepreneurs of Sundergarh region participated in the program. <br/> Shri P.C. Nayak, Sr. Branch Manager, NSIC, Rourkela, Shri Paramananda Sahoo, Executive Director (MM), Steel Authority of India, Shri Sunil Kayal, President, Rourkela Chamber of Commerce & Industry and Shri V.K.
