Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises,Government of India celebrated "Rashtriya Ekta Divas" today to pay tribute to the Iron Man of India, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on his 143rd birth anniversary. Remembering SardarVallabhbhaiPatel, Shri Giriraj Singh, Hon'ble Minister for MSME(I/C), Dr Arun K Panda, Secretary, MSME, Smt Alka Arora Nangia, JS(SME), Shri Bandla Srinivas JS(ARI), speaker of the day Shri Sudhir Garg, CMD, The National Small Industries Corporation Ltd.-NSIC, Shri Ram Mohan Mishra, AS&DC along with other officials payed their Heartfelt Tribute at Bal Sahyog Bhawan in New Delhi today RashtriyaEktaDiwas. During the event Shri Giriraj Singh, Hon'ble Minister for MSME(I/C) called for suggestions/ ideas from students getting trained in the 8 Technical Services Centers of NSIC through video conferencing.
MOU has been signed between NSIC Ltd. and M/s. My Home industries Private Limited, for supply of Cement of various grades of “Maha Cement” brand (one of the leading cement brand in Southern India) to the MSME units. The MOU was signed by Sh. K. Srinivas, Zonal Head, South II, NSIC Ltd., Hyderabad and Shri K. Vijay Vardhan Rao, President (Marketing), M/s. My Home industries Private Limited at their registered office at Madhapur, Hyderabad on 29/10/2018.
Shri Sudhir Garg, CMD, NSIC alongwith all the officers and employees of the corporation administered "Integrity Pledge for Citizens" and "Integrity Pledge for Organisations" today on the occasion of "Vigilance Awareness Week" being observed in NSIC from 29th Oct 2018 to 3rd Nov, 2018. This year the theme of observing vigilance awareness week is 'Eradicating Corruption -Build a New India'. During the week, various activities like display of banners, deliverance of lectures, workshops , essay writing, the creation of hyperlink for integrity pledges on corporation’s website etc, installation of Suggestion Box, schedule of preventive vigilance inspection across the country are being undertaken.
Mr. Sunil Tyagi, GM (Intl. Co-op), represented The National Small Industries Corporation Ltd.-NSIC in the 8th European Union Congress on SMEs held in Poland from October 16-19, 2018. He was accompanying the official delegation led by JS(SME) to the said event. He also addressed the participants from Poland and other countries on NSIC's activities for promotion of MSMEs in India and the potential for cooperation in MSME Sector.
The National Small Industries Corporation Ltd.- NSIC organized a National SC/ST Hub conclave at Imphal, Manipur on 20.10.2018. Hon’ble Dr. Najma A. Heptulla, Governor of Manipur was the Chief Guest. Chief Minister of Manipur Hon’ble Sh. Nongthombam Biren Singh was the Special Guest of Honour and Sh. N. Kayiisi, Hon’ble Minister of Tribal Affairs was the Guest of Honour. Other dignitaries present on the Dias were Sh. L. Haokip Director SME, Ministry of MSME ,Sh. P. Udayakumar, Director (Planning & Marketing) NSIC, Sh. Inder Iqbal Singh Atwal, National working President-Forum of SC ST Legislature & Parliamentarians, and Sh. K.S. Siddique, Zonal General Manager, NSIC (North East region). A Presentation was given by Sh. L. Haokip Director SME, Ministry of MSME highlighting the various initiatives taken by Ministry of MSME. A NSSH film in regional language was then played. A session on Central/State Govt. schemes was chaired by Sh. L. Haokip, Director SME in which officials of KVIC, MSME-DI, Imphal, IIM Vishakhapatnam, NEDFI, NERCOM were present.This session focused on various Govt. initiatives such as CGTMSE, MAS, CLCSS etc. Another session with procurement agencies and Banks was held which was chaired by Sh. P. Udayakumar, Director (Planning & Marketing) NSIC. Officials of various Banks and CRPF, 2nd command Assam Riffle, NHPC shared their views during the session.Senior officers from Govt. of Manipur were also present during the event. The program was a great success and attended by more than 590 SC-ST participants.
During his visit to NSIC Branch Office, Puducherry on 20.10.2018, Shri Sudhir Garg, Chairman-cum-Managing Director, The National Small Industries Corporation Ltd.-NSIC also visited "Shri Arohan", a manufacturing unit of "100% organic Cotton Fabric" by green technology (Solar Power).
On assuming the charge of Chairman-cum-Managing Director of The National Small Industries Corporation Ltd.-NSIC Shri Sudhir Garg visited NSIC Branch Office, Puducherry. He was welcomed by Shri T. Venkateswaran, Zonal Head, South – III, Shri D. Paul Bright Singh, Senior Branch Manager, Puducherry and other staff of the Branch.
Shri R. Raja, Hon. Vice-President, Shri Ravikiran Kulkarni, Hon. General Secretary and other office bearers of Karnataka Small Scale Industries Association (KASSIA) called on to congratulate Shri Sudhir Garg on assuming the charge of Chairman-cum-Managing Director of The National Small Industries Corporation Ltd.-NSIC. They briefed him about the initiatives taken by KASSIA for MSMEs in their region and issues concerning MSMEs of Karnataka were also discussed.
Shri P. Udayakumar DPM, NSIC met with the industry association “The Coimbatore District Small Industries Association” (CODISSIA) on 12.10.2018 at NSIC BO- Coimbatore. Sh. R. Ramamurthy- President (CODISSIA) in presence of association’s Secretary and Jt. Secretary briefed about the various initiatives taken by CODISSIA for the MSME sector. DPM enquired about the progress in Defence Corridor, in response to it, President CODISSIA mentioned that they will be working on reverse engineering model for Defence production in the separate entity named CODISSIA Defence Innovation Centre- CDIC. Association further expressed their interest for having an agreement with NSIC for availing credit facilities through credit scheme for purchase of Raw material. DPM had a discussion on the requirement of raw material by the MSME units and also explained about the possible interventions under the schemes of NSIC.
Sh. P. Udayakumar, Director (Planning & Marketing) NSIC was the chief Guest in the special program on “Role of NSIC and Interventions for Tiruppur Textile Cluster”. The event was organized by NSIC in association with Tiruppur Exporter’s Association. DPM briefed about the schemes of NSIC and highlighted the importance of tender marketing scheme of NSIC for catering the requirement of CPSE and State Government PSUs, by participating in their tenders by MSEs either directly or through NSIC for bagging the high value orders. DPM mentioned about the supply of cotton & Yarn through NSIC under RMD scheme. Possibility of new interventions and aggregation in the service area of technology support, logistics tie-up, Insurance and E-commerce was also discussed during the event to strengthen the business of MSMEs.
A meeting was held by Shri P. Udayakumar DPM, NSIC with the industry association “The Southern India Engineering Manufacturers association, Coimbatore” (SIEMA) on 12.10.2018 at Coimbatore. Discussion was held for the requirement of raw material like Iron & Steel, Coke, Pig iron, Electrical Steel and Rare Earth Minerals by MSEs. DPM also enquired about the usage of NTSCs in testing of Pumps with respect to power consumption. SIEMA president mentioned that they need more testing facilities in the area of Solar Panel testing, Solar pump testing, Testing of Capacitors and Electricals and properties testing in Electro Steel. Director (Planning & Marketing) mentioned about possible new interventions, mainly on the avenue of Multi Product Stockyard under the RMD scheme of NSIC. DPM also held meetings with Erode Plastic Association, DICCI (Coimbatore chapter) and CIAI at NSIC Branch office Coimbatore and discussed on various issues related to the MSME sector.
On the occasion of board meeting, led by Sh. Sudhir Garg, CMD, The National Small Industries Corporation Ltd.-NSIC, the directors on board carried out a plantation drive at NSIC Head Office.
