NTSC, Okhla welcomed Mrs. Jayashree M Kurup, Regional Director, IGNOU along with her team members for their visit to Advance Training Centre on 2nd Jan.2019. During the visit, Regional Director agreed to sign an MOU with NTSC, Okhla for imparting short term skill training to their students through various skill development programmes to make them employable. She also requested team NTSC, Okhla to submit another proposal to Vice Chancellor (IGNOU) for association at all India level. The Director committed to increase the allotment of IGNOU students for BCA & MCA programmes to our Centre in 2019. The team applauded the efforts of Management for their work in the area of skill development and appreciated the infrastructure available in Advance Training Centre as reflected in the comments made in the Visitor book.
A team led by Mr Dharmender Saini, Principal, Bharati Vidyapeeth’s College of Engineering, New Delhi visited Advanced Training Centre of NTSC Okhla on 31st Dec. 2018. The Institute agreed to sign an MOU with NTSC Okhla for imparting six week industrial training to third year students of Electronics, electrical and Instrumentation Engineering. The Principal also shown interest for the Project based training of engineering students in NTSC, Okhla.
NTSC, Okhla had signed an MOU with ONGC, a Maha Ratna organization, for imparting skill & entrepreneurial training training to weaker section of society. ONGC organized a fund distribution ceremony on 22nd Dec. 2018 where they honoured NSIC officials by handing over the cheque for 50 % of allocated amount, i.e. Rs.7 lakh to NTSC, Okhla team as first installment. Under this MOU, two programmes for the of 60 students on Beautician & Motor winding for three months duration have been started.
NSIC team of Experts led by Shri A. K. Mittal, Director (Finance) visited Sudan for carrying out feasibility study for establishment of SME Business Incubation Centre on the request from El–Ethar for Microfinance Company, Sudan. The study was conducted on commercial basis. During the stay of NSIC experts, meeting with higher officials of provinces viz. North Kordofan, White Nile, Blue Nile, Sennar and Khartoum was held besides discussions with Government officials, Banks and other Institutions engaged in Industrial Development in Sudan. In the concluding meeting, the Sudan authorities expressed appreciation on the study and agreed to set up 10 SME Business Incubation Centre in Sudan. The pilot Centre has been proposed to be set up in Khartoum for which location was also decided during study.
State Government of Tamilnadu is conducting a Global Investors meet at Chennai during January 2019, and conducting road show to attract the investors . State government of Tamilnadu conducted road show to attract the investors at Vellore on 31/12/2018. Hon.Minister .K.C.Veeramani, Minister for Commercial Taxes ,Mrs. Niloper Kabil , Minister for Labour welfare of state government of Tamilnadu presided function Shri.A.Raman, IAS, district collector,Shri Manivannan,GM, DIC Vellore district organized the program. More than 500 MSME units participated in this program. Ms. Nalini, Chief General Manager , NTSC,Chennai was invited to talk about the various schemes and programs of NSIC offered to MSME units and for the budding entrepreneurs. Ms. Nalini, Chief General Manager , NTSC,Chennai detailed about various financial ,commercial schemes and technical services offered to MSME units in the country . Also spoke on the initiatives taken by our corporation in up- skilling the unemployed youth for gainful employment and successful entrepreneur through various Incubation centres of NSIC in the country , ready to serve the MSME units at the doorstep and ready to conduct spot campaigns jointly with local association for benefits of various sectors of MSME.
IOCL Customers Meet at Hyderabad was organized on 24.12.2018. The meeting was chaired by Shri P.Udaya Kumar, Director (P&M) and attended by Senior Officials from IOCL, Hyderabad, Shri B.L.Bhandari, President, Telangana and Andhra Plastics Manufacturers Association (TAAPMA), Hyderabad, various MSME Units involved in Polymer Industry, Zonal Head-South-II and the Branch Heads from the zone.
Shri P.Udaya Kumar, Director (P&M), visited the Warehouses located at Hyderabad on 24.12.2018, which is handled by NSIC, B.O., Hyderabad under Agency Sales activity. He has visited IOCL Polymer Godown, Hindustan Zinc Limited Godown, BALCO/VEDANTA Godown and Sterlite Copper Ltd Godowns at Hyderabad and interacted with the officials.
A Performance Review of Zonal Office: South-II was conducted on 24.12.2018. The meeting was chaired by Shri P.Udaya Kumar, Director (P&M) and attended by Shri K.Srinivas, Zonal Head-South-II, alongwith the Branch Heads of Balanagar, Hyderabad, Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam.During the Review, performance upto Nov’18 was reviewed and action plan upto Mar’19 was discussed. Director (P&M) instructed all the Branches in the zone to achieve the assigned targets.
Sh. P. Udayakumar, Director (Planning & Marketing) NSIC Ltd. participated as the Guest of Honour in a programme organised by Shree Radha Krishna public school & ITI, Hapur, U.P. DPM spoke about the job opportunities available for the ITI students through the various initiatives of Govt. of India and urge the students to avail the benefits of these schemes after completing the studies. Sh. Sanjay Nirmal, National Minister of Schedule caste Morcha, Bhartiya Janta Party was the chief guest in the event.
The National SC-ST Conclave was held on 15th December 2018 at, Hubballi, Karnataka. The event was attended by over 352 SC-ST participants including women participants. The event also had stalls from various banking institutions i.e. Bank of Baroda, SBI, Ujjivan Small Finance and CPSEs such as HLL Life Care Limited. The CPSEs had brought samples of their products and showcased these to the participants. During the event, several entrepreneurs also showcased their products. Further to this, there was designated stall of MSME-DI, KVIC, and NSSH Bangalore.Sh. P. Udayakumar, Director (P&M),NSIC, New Delhi was the Chief Guest of conclave. The other dignitaries graced the occasion were Shri Nilogal L.B, Executive Director, KFSC, Bangalore, Shri Ravi Prakash, CGM (Commercial), Goa Shipyard, Goa, Shri Sunil Kharad, GM(Vendor Development Cell), BEML, Bangalore, Shri K. Hariprasad, Asst. General manager (Materials), HMT Machine Tool Ltd, Bangalore, Shri P.N Lokesh, DGM(MM), ITI Ltd, Bangalore, officials from State Industry associations, Senior officers from CPSEs and Banking sector were also present during the event. The welcome address was given by Shri P Ravi Kumar, CGM, NSIC – Bangalore. He gave a brief introduction on the National SC ST Hub and thanked all the dignitaries and participants for providing their support for the conclave. Shri P Udayakumer, DPM, NSIC thanked everyone on the dais as well as the participants. He told that the MSME sector is the backbone of the Indian economy and SC-ST MSEs are an integral part of this. He shared that earlier in the morning, he interacted with local SC-ST MSEs of Hubballi and found potential to supply the CPSEs. He talked about the various Scheme under the National SC-ST Hub and Ministry of MSME. He pointed out that the State Government of Karnataka is providing several subsidy schemes to MSEs. He requested to potential SC-ST MSEs to participate in SVDPs to be organized by the NSIC and NSSHO. He talked about initiatives have been taken by the Ministry for capacity building of SC-ST MSEs. In last, he requested that at least 100 SC- ST entrepreneurs from Hubballi should register from NSIC after completion of conclave.
