Shri. P. Udayakumar, Director (P&M) participated as Guest of Honour in 7th MSMEs National Excellence Awards & Summit organised by ASSOCHAM at DefExpo 2020 at Lucknow (U.P.). The event was inaugurated by Shri. Pratap Chandra Sarangi, Hon’ble Minister of State, Ministry of MSME, Government of India.

During DefExpo 2020, held at Lucknow (U.P.), NSIC signed MoU with Uttar Pradesh Expressways Industrial Development Authority (UPEIDA) to create eco system for MSMEs under upcoming Defence Corridor in the state of Uttar Pradesh and with Mishra Dhathu Nigam Limited (MIDHANI) for supply of Special Raw Materials to DEFENCE MSMEs. Further, Shri. Vijayendra, IAS, Chairma-cum-Managing Director, NSIC & Shri. P. Udayakumar Director (P&M), NSIC along with other officials of NSIC interacted with the exhibitors of DefExpo 2020 at Lucknow during 6th – 7th February 2020.

NSSHO-BANGALORE supported participation of SC-ST Entrepreneurs in DEFEXPO 2020 Exhibition held at Lucknow from 5th-8th February 2020. NSSHO Stalls have been visited by our Hon’ble CMD Shri. Vijayendra IAS, Shri P.Udaya Kumar, DPM, Shri .P.Ravi Kumar ,CGM. Also units have interacted with Shri Jagadish Shettar , Hon'ble Minister of Large and Medium Scale Industries , GOK during his visit.

Shri P. Udayakumar, Director (P&M) and Shri Gaurang Dixit, Director (Finance) interacted with the World Bank delegation that visited NSIC on 5th Feb. 2020 .The delegation was briefed about the various offerings of NSIC for the growth of MSME sector in the country. Also present on this occasion were Head of Divisions of various NSIC services. The World Bank delegation comprised of Mr.Peter Mousely, Mr.Adarsh Kumar, Ms.Ruchita Mangnani, Mr.Dennis Medvedev, Mr.Ashutosh Tandon, Mr.Andrew McCartney, Mr.Kulranjani Kujoor, Mr.Justin Hill.

Shri.Gaurang Dixit, Director (Finance),NSIC alongwith all NSIC Officers and Staff observed Silence for two minutes on 30th January 2020 in the memory of those who gave their lives in the struggle for India's freedom.

NSIC celebrated the 71st Republic day with great zeal and enthusiasm.Shri. Vijayendra, (IAS),CMD, NSIC hoisted the National Flag in the presence of Shri. P. Udayakumar, Director (P&M) and other staff /officers. On this occasion NSIC Employees and children of the wards of employees also participated by singing patriotic songs and rhymes.

The NSIC Employees took Voters Pledge on the Occasion of National Voters Day. The pledge was administered by Shri Navin Chopra, Chief General Manager (SG),NSIC.On January 25, the eve of Republic Day, India celebrates its National Voters’ Day to commemorate the founding day of the Election Commission (EC) of India. The day holds significance in India as it is dedicated to raise awareness among the citizens of India on voter rights and duties.

NSIC (Orissa) in association with Orissa Small Scale Industries Association organized a “Seminar on implementation of Marketing Policy for Growth of MSMEs “ on 09th Jan 2020 at Bhubaneshwar . Giving the key note address ,Shri Gaurang Dixit, Director(Finance) ,NSIC highlighted the benefits of NSIC schemes and Various other services of Ministry of MSME such as National SC ST Hub ,etc for the Growth of MSME sector in India. The Seminar was presided by Hon’ble Minister, Food Supplies & Consumer Welfare and Cooperation, Govt. of Odisha ,Shri Hemant Sharma, Principal Secretary to Govt. of Odisha, MSME Dept., Dr. S K Kar, CTTC, Mr. Dipan Mitra, Manager, National Stock Exchange of India.

NSIC (Orissa ) in association with Department of MSME, Government of Orissa organized the MSME International Trade Fair 2020 ( 08th – 12th Jan 2020 )at Bhubaneshwar. NSIC set up a pavilion giving live demonstration of Indian Products and Technologies which also included 33 exhibitors from Iran and 13 exhibitors from Bangladesh. The Exhibition was inaugurated by Shri Navin Patnaik, Hon'ble Chief Minister of Orissa . On this occasion, Shri P.C.Nayak , DGM,(NTPC Tender project &IMDC (Bhubaneshwar),NSIC briefed the Hon’ble Chief Minister about Various initiatives of NSIC for the growth and development of MSMEs in the state of Orissa.

NSIC has renewed its MOU agreement on 08.01.2020 with Bank of Baroda under Bank Tie up Scheme marking it as a beginning of its second innings under tie up arrangement to help MSMEs with credit facility . Bank of Baroda is the second largest public-sector bank to get merged with Vijaya Bank and Dena Bank. The MOU has been signed by Sh. A.K Mishra ,General Manager (Bank Tie Up) of NSIC and Sh.Devinder Pal Grover, General Manager, Delhi Zone from Bank of Baroda in the presence of Sh. Gaurang Dixit ,Director (Fin) .Also present on this occasion was Ms. Himani Shali, Product Manager (Bank Tie Up)and Sh.Raghunath ,Manager (Banking) from NSIC.
