Shri P. Udayakumar, Director (Planning & Marketing), NSIC chaired the 01st Corporate Management Review Meeting (CMRM) and Management Review Meeting (MRM) for the year 2021-2022 cycle –II on 05th April, 2022. During the interaction, various internal and external issues relevant to the quality management systems as well as improvement of performance and effectiveness of the quality management system were discussed. Also present on this occasion, Shri, Manoj Lal, Chief General Manager, NSIC, Shri Rajesh Kumar, General Manager (CMR), NSIC, Shri M.A Khan, General Manager, NSIC, Shri Rajesh Srivastava, Sr. Consultant (ISO) and Shri Aman Srivastava, Consultant (ISO).
India Carpet Expo – 2022 is the one of the largest Handmade carpet fair in Asia and serves as a unique platform for the buyers to source the best of handmade carpet was held on 25th-28th March, 2022 at NSIC exhibition centre. Over 257 importers and 280 overseas buyers from all over the world registered their presence in the Mega Expo. 292 exhibitors displayed their exclusive handmade carpets. On this occasion Shri. P Udayakumar, Director (Planning & Marketing), NSIC graced this Mega Expo to motivate and encouraged the participants to avail the benefits of NSIC schemes. The events at the NSIC Exhibition Ground are coordinated by Shri Masood Ahmad, Manager, NSIC.
National Small Industries Corporation( NSIC) and Tamilnadu Industrial Investment (TIIC), Tamilnadu signed MoU on 31-03-2022 in Chennai to cooperate for support mechanisms for MSMEs in the State of Tamilnadu for the Defence corridor proposal in facilitating Raw materials, Finances ,e commerce and other areas. The MoU was signed by Mr Rajaraman ,Zonal GM,NSIC and Mr Kirubhakaran ,GM TIIC in the presence of Mr Hans Raj Verma ,IAS ,CMD TIIC and P.Udayakumar, Director(Planning and Marketing),NSIC, Delhi.
NTSC (Rajpura) celebrated “International Women Day” on 8th March, 2022 at Rajpura Centre. On this occasion, a Declamation contest was held on the Theme - “Gender Equality Today for a Sustainable Tomorrow”. Total 90 nos women students of the centre participated in this contest. The winners were awarded by Shri Rajesh Jain, Centre Head, NTSC (Rajpura).
NSIC has been facilitating MSMEs across the country by various Marketing Support programs . Recently Shri Vijay Prakash, Zonal Head , NSIC (North-East) inaugurate the Momentum North-East 2022 organised by PHD Chamber of Commerce at Shilp Gram, Guwahati and encouraged the participating SMEs & Budding Entrepreneurs to come forward and avail the benefits of NSIC schemes for their growth.
NSIC celebrated International Women’s Day (IWD) with great zeal and enthusiasm on 08th March, 2022. The program was inaugurated by Shri P. Udayakumar, Director (P&M), NSIC and Shri Gaurang Dixit, Director (Finance), NSIC. The event was organized by WIPS (Women in Public Sector) committee of NSIC. The theme of the IWD-2022 was #BreakTheBias which focused on inclusive working towards a world that is equitable and free from bias and discrimination. On this occasion, an informational talk on Gender Equality, Safety & Health was delivered by Dr. Mandeep Sharma, Corporate Trainer. Apart from this, an awareness programme was also organized on Self Defence & Women Rights.
Honble Shri Narayan Rane, Union Minister for MSME along with Honble Shri Bhanu Pratap Singh Verma, Minister of State for MSME launched special entrepreneurship promotion drive for Women - SAMARTH on the occasion of International Womens Day 2022 to provide them an opportunity to be self-reliant and independent by undertaking self-employment opportunities. Under this, 20 percent seats in free skill development programmes will be allocated for aspiring and existing women entrepreneurs. Besides, 20 percent of business delegations sent to exhibitions under for marketing assistance will be dedicated to women-owned MSMEs. An Internal Auditor Online Training Program for 64 employees of NSIC PAN India was conducted by CMR & HR section. The online Training was conducted by M/s. Envirotech Quality Management (EQM) in three batches on Feb.11-12, 2022, Feb. 14-15, 2022 and Feb. 25-26, 2022. Total 63 nos employees have qualified as Certified Internal Auditor to audit the process being followed as per Quality Management System ISO 9001:2015 in various NSIC offices.
Shri. P. Udayakumar, Director (P&M) was invited to be special guest cum speaker for an "Interactive Session" on 23rd Feb, 2022, 2.00 PM at Board Room, Constitution Club of India, New Delhi. The event was organized by Policy Watch Foundation (PWF) which is an independent, not-for-profit policy research and action organization committed to evidence and research-based development. During his address, he highlighted the benefits of NSIC schemes.
NTSC (RAJKOT) conducted a Job Meta on 02nd March, 2022 at NSIC -TSC Premises. Program was presided by Sh. P. R. Joshi, Dy. Director, MSME PPDC, Agra as Chief Guest. On this occasion, Sh Upender Kumar Kohli, GM & Centre Head, explained about the role of NSIC-TSC in the field of Skill Development, Training imparted in Tool Room, Livelihood Business Incubation Centre to Upgrade / Enhancing the technical skills of the individual under our various training programs and also highlighted the importance of skilled /weIl trained manpower for the growth of MSME Units. Sh. P. R. Joshi, Dy. Director, MSME PPDC advised the participants to avail benefit of NSIC-TSC facilities for development of their technical skill. In this Job Mela, 19 renowned MSMEs participated for selecting skilled manpower & More than 77 Trainees participated in this event and 46 Candidates were selected in preliminary round and called these candidates for final selection at their respective units.
