NSIC Partners with Rubber, Chemical & Petrochemical Skill Development Council (RCPSDC) to Boost MSME access to Rubber, Chemical, and Polymer Products on PAN India basis

The National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC) has entered into a non-commercial Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Rubber, Chemical & Petrochemical Skill Development Council (RCPSDC) on September 11, 2024. This strategic partnership aims to strengthen the supply chain for MSMEs across India, providing them with a wider range of rubber, chemical and polymer products. The collaboration seeks to expand NSIC supplier network, empowering Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to access quality materials, foster growth, and increase competitiveness in the industry. The MOU is signed by Dr. Avinash Choudhary, General Manager (RMD) from NSIC and Shri Saif Mohammad – CEO from M/s RCPSDC in the august presence of Dr. S.S. Acharya, CMD, NSIC and Sh. Kartikeya Sinha, Director (Planning & Marketing), NSIC Ltd. Also present on the occasion were Sh. Amit Tuteja, Chief Manager- NSIC, Smt. Sonia Rathi, Deputy Manager-NSIC and Sh. Lalit Singh, Sr. Manager, RCPSDC.

CMD, NSIC called on Hon’ble Chairperson, Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Welfare of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes

Dr. Subhransu Sekhar Acharya, CMD, NSIC called on Shri Faggan Singh Kulaste, Hon’ble Chairperson, Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Welfare of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes, on September 11, 2024. During the meeting CMD, NSIC, briefed Hon’ble Chairperson about the Schemes / Programs being offered by NSIC for the MSME Sector, entrepreneurship development and enterprise promotion in the country. The National SC-ST Hub Scheme being implemented by NSIC, on behalf of Ministry of MSME was also discussed in detail. Hon’ble Chairperson expressed his happiness on the activities and hoped that NSIC shall better its own performance in the days to come.

CMD, NSIC Chaired the Session on Innovative Financing

FICCI-CMSME organized its 10th National Conference 2024 on September 10, 2024, at New Delhi. The theme of the Conference was “Viksit Bharat – Accelerating India’s Growth through MSMEs.”    Dr. S.S. Acharya, CMD, NSIC Chaired a Session on ‘Innovative Financing’ for MSMEs and delivered Key Note Address. The event was attended by CEOs, CXOs and MDs and other senior officials from several renowned Institutions in the country including TReDS platforms, Fintech companies, National Stock Exchange, EXIM Bank and leading banks in both public & private sector besides senior government officials & MSME entrepreneurs.

Performance Review Meeting held by CMD and Director (Finance) at Chandigarh for Ludhiana Zone

Dr. Subhransu Acharya, CMD and Sh. Gaurav Gulati, Director (Finance) visited the NSIC Chandigarh office to review the performance of the Branches under Ludhiana Zone. During the visit, they deliberated on the performance of the Branches and engaged with officials from the Zone and encouraged to strive for excellence in their performance. Recognizing the Zone  exceptional performance during 2023-24 earning the prestigious Best Zone Award for the year along with other awards of excellence in distinctive verticals, CMD and Director (Finance) motivated the team to build upon this success and aim for even greater achievements in the current fiscal year too. Their interactions emphasized renewed focus on maintaining the high standards of operational efficiency, customer service and innovation that have become synonymous with NSIC  Ludhiana Zone. Shri Gurpal Singh, Zonal Head (Ludhiana), expressed his confidence in the team capabilities and assured the leadership of another stellar performance this year with a commitment to deliver the best results and maintain our position as the top-performing zone. The untapped potential industrial belts like Baddi (HP), Jammu & Ambala would also be explored as pointed out by Management. In addition to the performance review, Dr. Acharya and Sh. Gulati planted saplings under the national theme of Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam, Sh. Gulati also interacted with Finance officials of Branches under the Zone.

NTSC (Neemka) organizes Job Fair

NTSC (Neemka), successfully organized a Job Fair on its campus. A total of 18 reputed companies participated in the fair, providing a platform for aspiring professionals to showcase their skills and secure employment. Over 500 students from NTSC (Neemka) and other renowned institutions participated in the event, with 107 students receiving job offers across various trades, marking a pivotal step in their career journeys. Signing of MoU between NSIC and TCIL for development of 5G use-cases

With a View to leverage the potential of 5G technology for skill development and common facility services for MSME units an MoU was signed between the National Small Industries Corporation Limited (NSIC) and Telecommunications Consultants India Limited (TCIL) on 4th September, 2024. The MoU was signed by Sh. Kartikeya Sinha, Director (Planning & Marketing), NSIC and Sh. Arun Kumar Chaubey, Director (Project), TCIL in the presence of Dr. Subhransu Sekhar Acharya, Chairman-cum-Managing Director, NSIC, Sh. Gaurav Gulati, Director (Finance) and Sh. Surajit Mandol Director (Finance), TCIL. This MoU aims to set up 5G facilities (i.e. deployment of 5G equipment/devices/software, services, training, O&M, etc.) and use-cases to support MSME sector in terms of skill development and producing skilled workforce for MSME sector and also facilitate entrepreneurs and start-ups to provide a platform to test their products/innovations under 5G technology based common facility services. The partnership is set to harness the transformative potential of 5G technology to empower youths, MSME units and startups through cutting-edge projects and specialized training programmes to keep pace with rapid technological advancements in the competitive world. The MoU ceremony was also attended by Sh O.P.Singh (GM-Tech), Sh. Subodh Jaiswal (Sr GM-NTSC, Okhla) and Sh. Sanjay Kumar (GM) TCIL.

NSIC celebrated the National Sports Day(NSD) in its compound to commemorate the birth Anniversary of Major Dhyan Chand, the Hockey Legend. Dr. S.S. Acharya, CMD, NSIC started the NSD celebrations by administering the “Fit India Pledge” to the employees. Sh. K. Sinha, Director(P&M) and Sh. G. Gulati, Director(Fin.) along with other NSIC employees participated in the event. Games like Tennis Ball Cricket, 100 mtr Race for men & women, Lemon Race, Tug of War, Badminton etc. were organised by the Sports Club of NSIC. Employees participated in the games with full enthusiasm and enjoyed the full day event.

Signing of MOU between Department of Industries and Commerce, Government of Telangana and The National Small Industries Corporation Limited (NSIC)

In order to strengthen the MSME ecosystem in Telangana, TEJAS (Telangana entrepreneur Journey for Accelerating Success) was launched on August 28, 2024 by Signing an MOU between Department of Industries and Commerce, Government of Telangana and The National Small Industries Corporation Limited (NSIC). NSIC is an ISO 9001:2015 certified Mini-Ratna Government of India Enterprise, under Ministry of MSME. The aim is to promote, aid and foster the growth of micro, small and medium enterprises in Telangana. 
NSIC facilitates MSMEs with a set of specially tailored schemes to enhance their competitiveness. NSIC provides integrated support services under Marketing, Technology, Finance and other Support services. NSIC supports MSMEs with Raw Material Assistance, Bill Discounting, Single Point Registration, Digital Facilitation, Credit facilitation and also facilitate materials testing and provides skill development trainings in its training centres located in the country as one in Hyderabad, in order to cater to the needs of skilled manpower of MSME Sector and to build entrepreneurship.
Under the MoU, District Industries Centers located in 33 districts of Telangana State shall promote the schemes of NSIC among the MSMEs in their districts and also collaborate with NSIC for skill development activities. 
The MoU was signed by Dr. G. Malsur, Director, Department of Industries and commerce, Government of Telangana and Sri K. Srinivas, in the presence of Sri D. Sridhar Babu, Hon’ble Minister for IT & Industries, Government of Telangana and Dr. Subhransu Sekhar Acharya, Chairman and Managing Director, NSIC. Also present on the occasion are Sri Gaurav Gulati, Director (Fin.), Sh. Ravi kumar CGM, Sh. N.K. Subramani GM (NTSC Hyderabad)  from NSIC.

NSIC supports ICAI MSME & Startup Yatra 2024

The ICAI MSME & Startup Yatra 2024 was officially flagged off for the North Region from the premises of the Northern India Regional Council (NIRC) of ICAI. The event marked a significant collaboration between the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) and the National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC), reinforcing their commitment to the growth and empowerment of MSMEs across India. Key dignitaries present at the event included Shri Sanjay Rautela, ZGM-Delhi, NSIC, Shri Umesh Dixit, GM (NSSH), Shri Sanjay Yadav, SBM, Shri Shaminder Kardam, Dy. Manager, BO(Delhi), CA (Dr.) Raj Chawla, Vice Chairman, Committee on MSME, ICAI; Shri Abhinav Aggarwal, Chairman, NIRC of ICAI; and Shri Manoj Lamba. During the flag-off event, participants were briefed on various NSIC initiatives, including those under the National SC-ST Hub Office (NSSH), that are specifically designed to support and uplift MSMEs. These initiatives aim to provide comprehensive assistance in areas such as financial literacy, market linkages, and capacity building. The event witnessed the participation of approximately 100 individuals, including Chartered Accountants, trainees, startup founders, and entrepreneurs, all of whom are key stakeholders in the MSME ecosystem.

CMD, NSIC visits NTSC (Neemka)

CMD, NSIC made a significant visit to the NSIC Technical Services Centre (NTSC), Neemka on 20th August, 2024. The CMD, along with Shri O. P. Singh, General Manager (Tech.), Head Office, review the performance of centre. Shri Sanjay Sharif, Deputy General Manager, NTSC (Neemka), briefed the various diploma engineering programs, technical courses, and Common Facility Services (CFS) activities currently being conducted at the Centre. During the visit, the CMD encouraged the officials and faculty members to continue their dedicated work in the larger interest of society. To mark the occasion, the CMD also participated in the "एक पेड़ माँ के नाम" initiative by planting a tree at NTSC Neemka, symbolizing a commitment to environmental sustainability.

CII Gujarat wing organized a convention on Ease of Doing Business at Vadodara on Aug 23, 2024. Most of the central as well as state Govt Departments / Agencies i.e NSIC, CGTMSE, Govt E Market place, NSIC Venture, DIC and state Govt officials participated in the event. The event witnessed participation of about 1000 Entrepreneurs. The various policies and schemes of participating institutions were discussed by the speakers from respective organizations.  NSIC Venture Capital Fund Ltd was represented by the CEO, Mr. Sravana Kumar & NSIC was represented by Mr. P K Jha, CGM (Central Zone) and presentation given on the the growth opportunities for entrepreneurs with support from NSIC and NSIC Venture.
