A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between NSIC and Ministry of MSME defining the activities of the Corporation for the Financial Year 2017-18. The MOU was signed by Shri K. K. Shri Ravindra Nath, CMD, NSIC was the chief guest to the “World Environment Day 2017” organized by International Chamber for service Industry and NSI Finishing school in collocation with ITFT College celebrated on 5th June, 2017.<br/> On this occasion Shri Nath begin the plantation of Herbal Medicinal plants in order to promote the Ayurveda related Health Tourism & Entrepreneurship ventures. <br/>Addressing the audience, Shri Ravindra Nath said that the issues of environment is of major concern now a days. Shri Ravindra Nath, CMD, NSIC was the Guest of Honor at the Workshop on Industry 4.0 organized by National Productivity Council in cooperation with NSIC at New Delhi. He briefed the participants about various initiatives being taken by NSIC to prepare the MSMEs for being Industry 4.0 compliant. A Centre of Excellence at NPC was also inaugurated on the occasion. Sh. Sharad Yadav, Hon’ble Member of Parliament and the Chairman, Parliament Standing Committee on Industry was welcomed by Sh. Ravindra Nath, CMD, NSIC during his visit to NSIC’s Technical Service Centre and its Technology Incubation Centre on 31/5/2017. Sh. Yadav was briefed by CMD, NSIC about various activities of NSIC for the promotion and development of MSMEs in India and abroad. He was also taken around NSIC’s facilities. He was quite impressed with NSIC’s Rapid Incubation Centre where he could see appropriate technologies for creating entrepreneurs. He also appreciated the kind of training being provided to youth which included from basic skills to advanced skill sets. A demonstration of Robotics and 3D modeling was also given to him. <br/> Later Sh. Sharad Yadav, distributed certificates to the trainees who completed their training in NSIC’s Technical Service Centre at Okhla. NSIC Technical Services Centre (Kashipur) along with Kumaun Garwal Chamber of Commerce Industries (KGCCI) and QCI organised an Intensive Campaign for the benefit of MSMEs of the region at Rudrapur, Uttrakhand. Speaking on this occasion, Sh. T. S. Rajput, Dy. NSIC –Technical Services Centre, Aligarh organises awareness programme for industries on “Role of NSIC as Facilitator for the growth of MSMEs “ along with Aligarh Locks and Hardware Association ,Talanagari ,Aligarh. Total 65 participants’ attended this programme. On this occasion, Mr T. S. Rajput, DGM highlighted the benefits of NSIC schemes and motivated the industry representatives for technology up-gradation of MSME sector so that they can survive in competitive world. NSIC (Lucknow) participated in One day MSME Conclave organised by Laghu Udyog Bharti, State office, Lucknow. The objective of the Programme was to discuss the challenges of Entrepreneurs in the state of Uttar Pradesh and their suggestions to the New Government. On this platform, Shri A. K. Srivastava, Branch Head, NSIC (Lucknow) explained in detail about NSIC Schemes with special focus on online Credit Facilitation through Finance Facilitation Centre (FFC) to the Participants. Officers from MSME-DI, Kanpur, District Industry Centre, SIDBI and members of Laghu Udyog Bharti also participated in the programme. More than 75 nos. MSMEs registered their interest about NSIC initiatives in the region. The Chief Guest, Sh. Madam (Dr.) Ameenah Gurib Fakim, Hon’ble President of Mauritius visited MSME NSIC Pavilion - International SME Innovation & Technology Fair, 2017 (Mauritius) held from 12th to 14th May, 2017. Shri Ravindra Nath, CMD, NSIC briefed the Hon’ble President about the working Indian Technologies placed at the pavilion and also apprised that 25 Indian MSMEs from different sectors displaying affordable technologies capable of gainfully engaging youth in self-employment. NSIC organised a Training program on "Understanding Goods and Service Tax" for its employees on 15th May 2017. Shri Kalraj Mishra, Hon’ble Minister of MSME, Government of India who is leading a delegation Indian MSMEs and Officials to Mauritius, called upon the Hon’ble President of Mauritius Dr. (Ms.) Ameenah- Gurib –Fakim. <br/> He discussed with her the possibilities of cooperation in MSME sector between both the countries. He informed her that India is participating in the First ISIT Fair-2017 with 25 Indian MSMEs who are displaying affordable technologies capable of gainfully engaging youth in self-employment. Both the leaders felt that there is a vast scope of cooperation between both the countries in this sector and both countries should work towards synergizing their activities in this field. <br/> Later Sh.
