NSIC Technical Services Centre, New Delhi & Amity University Uttar Pradesh (AUUP) signed an MoU to synergize the resources and give impetus to generation of new entrepreneurs by imparting training during internship to the students of Amity on new technologies using the infrastructure in Advance Training Centre in NSIC Technical Services Centre, Okhla. Mr. Satvinder Singh, Chief General Manager, NSIC & Dr. Babu Lal Arya, Registrar, Amity Univ. signed and exchanged MOU on 14.11.2017 in the presence of Mr. Ravindra Nath, CMD, NSIC, Prof. (Dr.) Balvinder Shukla, Vice Chancellor, Amity Univ., Prof. (Dr.) Sanjeev Bansal, Director, Amity Business School and other officials & faculties from NSIC & AUUP. This initiative would help Amity students enhance their knowledge by getting hands on training on latest technologies under the guidance of qualified and experienced faculties. NSIC – B.O., Visakhapatnam, on the occasion of National Entrepreneurship Day i.e. on 09.11.2017 has organized a Special Vendor Development Program for SC/ST entrepreneurs in association with ONGC & HPCL at Visakhapatnam. Keeping with the theme for this year “Catalyzing a cultural shift in youth entrepreneurship” majority of the participants are first generation startup entrepreneurs. Also, on this occasion Indian Overseas Bank participated in the program and explained their credit schemes for MSMEs. Sri K.Srinivas, Zonal Head (South-2), NSIC Ltd., addressed the gathering and explained the various schemes of NSIC for SC/ST entrepreneurs. Sri A.V.Sreenivasan, Chief Manager, ONGC, Sri K.Venkateswarlu, Chief Manager, HPCL gave presentations on their Vendor Registration process, services and materials requirement. Sri C.M.Dange, Chief Manager, Indian Overseas Bank, Sri K.V.C.S.Prasad, DICCI, Sri Vinod, Joint Secretary, VASSIWA addressed the participants. A vendor development programme on 02.11.2017 was organized by Engineers India Ltd, Gurgaon for the participation of SC/ST units in Public procurement policy. The programme was organized as a part of vigilance awareness week and CMD of EIL Shri. Ajay N. Deshpande briefed about the various opportunities extended by EIL to SC/ST units . Functional directors of EIL informed the various initiatives of EIL for SC/ST units to become the vendors. Mr.R.K.Sabharwal, Director (Commercial) discussed the initiative and products developed by SC/ST units for the EIL. Further Mr.H.S.Sohal (CVO) read the integrity pledge. Shri P.Udaykumar, Director (P&M) NSIC was the Special Guest of the programme and delivered the lecture on benefits available for SC/ST units under SC/ST hub and also gave emphasis to avail the benefits under various NSIC schemes. The programme was also attended by Shri Harish Chandra ZGM NCR and Shri Dhirender Kumar, Branch Manager NSIC Gurgaon. A presentation on NSIC schemes and special schemes under SC/ST hub was delivered by Shri Dhirender Kumar, Branch Manager. Shri N K Chandan from DICCI highlighted regarding the development of new products with the help of EIL and the process of becoming the vendor in EIL. Vigilance awareness week has been observed by The National Small Industries Corporation Ltd.-NSIC from 30th October - 4th of November 2017 coinciding with the birthday of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. The week was celebrated at NSIC corporate office and its branches across the country. During the week, various activities like observing of integrity pledges, display of banners, deliverance of lectures, workshops , essay writing etc were undertaken. On this occasion, a Training Program on Preventive Vigilance was also organized on 04th Nov 2017 wherein 31 employees participated and faculty from various PSUs and Banks shared their experience and enriched the participants. Shri A. K. Mittal, Director (Finance), NSIC inaugurated this Training Program.
The National Small Industries Corporation Ltd.-NSIC Vigilance Department organized an essay wiring competition on 01st November 17 which was open to all the employees of the corporation. The competition was organized on the main theme of the vigilance week ‘My Vision-Corruption Free India’. The National Small Industries Corporation Ltd.-NSIC as part of its continuous effort to involve public as active participants in ensuring a "Corruption Free India” observed Vigilance Awareness Week on the directives of CVC from 30th October - 4th November 2017. The week was celebrated at #NSIC corporate office and its branches across the country keeping in view the theme of Vigilance Awareness Week “My Vision-Corruption Free India”. The National Small Industries Corporation Ltd.-NSIC Branch Office, Peenya orgainzed an awareness campaign for SC / ST enterprises with Mysore district ST SC Industrial Association on 24-10-2017 in association with District Industries Centre, Mysore, MSME-DI, SIDBI, KIADB Mysore, MUDA Mysore and FKCCI Bangalore. Shri Dhruva Narayan, MP, Chamaraja Nagar graced the occasion as the chief guest of the program. A Special Vendor Development Programme for SC/ST entrepreneurs was organized by the NATIONAL SMALL INDUSTRIES CORPORATION LTD, BRANCH OFFICE- NOIDA in association with “Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. (IOCL)”, at IOCL Training Hall, IOCL Bhawan, Sector-1, Noida on 01.11.2017 during 11 AM to 03 PM on “General Awareness on GST, Udyog Adhar, MSME Data Bank and Public Procurement Policy”. Shri P. Udeykumar Director (P&M) NSIC HO, Shri R.K./ Samtani Executive Director (M&C) IOCL, Shri G.K. Ram CGM (M&C), Shri R.K. Singh President DICCI-UP, Shri Vijay Prakash, Zonal Head, North-1, NSIC, Shri Sanjay Yadav, SBM/Noida, NSIC were presented on the dice also the Members of SC-ST Hub IOCL, Officers from TIDC MIS NSIC HO, Vendors of IOCL and stockholders of and undersigned were presented in the programme. A presentation on NSIC with film of SC-ST Hub was delivered by Shri Sanjay Yadav and the participants were fully conveyance about the facilities being given by the NSIC to MSMEs and especially to the SC-ST entrepreneurs. Thereafter, a presentation was made by Shri Amitava Bala GM (M&C) for vendor registration procedure and list of items being procured by the IOCL at their various plants/projects. Shri Sandeep Tomar has displayed films on MSME Data bank, NSIC FFC Portal and NSIC Informediary Scheme. A Special Vendor Development Programme (SVDP) for SC/ST Entrepreneurs was conducted by NSIC (Cochin )in association with Dalit Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DICCI) ,Kerala Chapter & Central PSUs - Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (Kochi Refinery), HLL Life Care Ltd (HLL) , Thiruvananthapuram, Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre(VSSC), Thiruvananthapuram & Sree Chitra Thirunal Institute of Medical Sciences and Technology, Thiruvananthapuram on 25th October 2017, at Thiruvananthapuram.Shri P.Udayakumar, Director (Planning & Marketing), NSIC was the Chief Guest for this program. During his inaugural address ,Shri P. Udayakumar highlighted the role played by the National SC -ST Hub and the schemes which has been designed by NSIC to benefit SC/ST Entrepreneurs . The Public Procurement Policy 2012 and the benefits being granted to SC/ST Entrepreneurs therein were also highlighted upon and he urged the entrepreneurs to avail of the various schemes formulated upon for the benefit of MSMEs. The Central PSUs were also encouraged to avail this opportunity and register maximum entrepreneurs belonging to SC/ST category as their vendors and offered DICCI, Central PSUs and the SC/ST entrepreneurs all the support from NSIC in this regard.
