Sh. Ravindra Nath, CMD, NSIC welcomed Shri. L. Murugan, Vice Chairman, National Commission for Scheduled Castes during his visit to NSIC’s Rapid Incubation Centre (RIC) for entrepreneurship creation and Advanced Training Centre for Skill Development at New Delhi. Sh. Nath apprised him about how this Centre is transforming youth from “employment seeker to job provider” by making them entrepreneurs and improving their skill sets by providing advanced training. Mr. L. Murugan appreciated the appropriate technologies placed in the RIC and appreciated the efforts of NSIC in creating self employment opportunities for youth including weaker section of the society.
Panasonic Team visited NSIC to explore areas of Mutual Cooperation in the area of Training and Skill development for MSME sector and budding entrepreneurs. Shri N.M.Mehra, Vice President Panasonic India had a glimpse of the NSIC Advanced Training Centre and applauded the efforts of NSIC in this direction. Also present in this occasion were Shri Manoj Lal,GM(SG) and Shri O.P.Singh, DGM.
Shri Ravindra Nath,CMD, NSIC conferred with "CEO with HR Orientation Award ( PSU focus)" at the Times Ascent - World HRD Congress ( Mumbai) for honoring visionary CEOs in building HR into the fabric of Business.
Shri Ravindra Nath,CMD,NSIC inaugurated a free Diabetes/Hypertension related end-organ-damage screening camp for underprivileged high-risk diabetes patients, organised by Diabetes Care Foundation at Chattarpur Dispensary on 11th Feb 2018 . The camp, which will continue till 31st March, aims to provide underprivileged and high risk patients in the community free and easy access to advanced, state-of-the-art life saving diagnostic facilities. Speaking on the occasion Shri Ravindra Nath,CMD,NSIC stated that Diabetes is No longer “a rich man’s disease”, the burden that diabetes places on poor patients is much higher than that on patients who are well off because of the complications it causes for other major organ system and such initiatives would go a long way in providing the much needed care.
NSIC participated in the Seminar organized by PHDCII and Indian Air Force on "Indigenisation of IAF Aviation requirement" on 05 February 2018. Shri Ravindra Nath, CMD NSIC addressed the gathering comprising of senior officials of Armed Forces such as Air Marshal, Brigadier including host of MSME units and highlighted the benefits of NSIC Schemes for MSMEs and the Armed forces.
The National Small Industries Corporation Ltd.-NSIC organised a National SC/ST Hub conclave at Raipur, Chhattisgarh. Sh. Amar Agrawal, Hon’ble Minister of Commercial Tax, Urban Development , Commerce and Industry, Public Enterprises inaugurated the conclave. The other dignitaries graced the occasion were Sh. Chhagan Lal Mundra, Chairman, CSIDC, Dr. Kamalpreet Singh, IAS, Secretary, Commerce and Industries, Sh. Sunil Mishra, IFS, Managing Director, CSIDC, Sh. Yashwant Kumar, IAS, Joint Secretary, Commerce and Industries, Raipur, Sh. Baleshwar Choure, President BRAITE Association, Sh. Nishchay Shelke, President (Western India), DICCI, Dr. P. G. S. Senior officers from CPSEs, State Govt., Rating agencies and Banking sector were also present during the event. More than 790 SC-ST (approx..) Entrepreneurs from the entire Chhattisgarh State were present during the Conclave.

NSIC Technical Service Centre, Okhla organised a Training Program for Machine Operators of Auto- Components Sector on 4th February 2018. The program was conducted in association with SIDBI & PWC and supported by Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). 33 representatives from different industries participated in this training program. Mr. Satvinder Singh, CGM (Tech), Mr. Subodh Jaiswal, GM (NTSC), Mr. Harikishan, Manager (NTSC), Mr. P. Nair, Associate Director (PWC), Mr. Manish Soni, Manager (PWC), Mr. K. P. Yadav, Manager (Batliboi Ltd.) were present on the occasion.

In the presence of Shri Ravindra Nath, CMD,NSIC; a pledge was administered by Shri A.K. Mittal, Director (Finance), NSIC to all the Officers and Staff of NSIC, on the occasion of National Voters Day on 25th Jan 2018. Speaking on the occasion, Shri Ravindra Nath, CMD, NSIC stated that all NSICians must continue to give their best performance for the growth of NSIC and the MSME sector.

Giriraj Singh, Hon’ble Minister of State (Independent Charge), Ministry of MSME, Government of India and Minister of International Trade & Industry, Government of Malaysia, Dr. Mustapa Mohamed, witnessed the MoU for Cooperation in MSME sector signed between National Small Industries Corporation of India and SME Corp. Malaysia. The MoU was signed by Mr. Ravindra Nath, Chairman & Managing Director, NSIC and Dr. Hafsah Hashim, CEO, SME. Corp. Malaysia. Also present on the occasion were Sh. A.K. Panda, Secretary (MSME), Ms. Alka Arora, Joint Secretary (SME), and other senior officials of Ministry of MSME, Govt. of India and officials of Ministry of International Trade, Government of Malaysia were present on the occasion.
Sh. Ravindra Nath, CMD, NSIC welcomed Lt. Gen. Satish Dua, Chief of Integrated Defence Staff to the Chairman Chief of Staff Committee (CISC), on his visit to NSIC. Lt. Gen. Dua was shown NSIC’s Rapid Incubation Centre (RIC) for entrepreneurship creation and Advanced Training Centre for Skill Development. Sh. Nath apprised him about how this Centre is transforming youth from “employment seeker to job provider” by making them entrepreneurs and improving their skill sets by providing advanced training. Avenues between NSIC and Army for transforming their soldiers into entrepreneurs on completion of their terms, were also discussed. Lt. Gen Dua appreciated the appropriate technologies placed in the RIC and expressed his willingness to partner with NSIC to train/ skill the retiring soldiers or families of soldiers. He was accompanied by Col. Manoj Deshpande, DA to CISC during the visit.
