NSIC (Ahmedabad) under "Swatch Swasthya Abhiyan" initiative organized a seminar on 17/06/2018 at H K college(Ahmedabad)where Ms. Bhavnaben Dave, Member of Parliament & Other dignitaries were present. The focus of the program was Hygiene & cleanliness of women. 100 girls participated in this program. In another initiative, NSIC(Ahmedabad) in association with KVIC supported the efforts of Utkarsh (an NGO) in launching a Menstrual Awareness Education books for school students and distribution of sanitary pads among SC ST girls in villages.
On the occasion of Swachhta Pakhwada 2018 ,Shri Ravindra Nath, CMD,NSIC administered the SWACHHTA PLEDGE alongwith all NSIC Employees. Also present on this occasion were Shri P. Udayakumar, Director (P&M),NSIC and Shri A.K.Mittal ,Director(Finance), NSIC. Speaking on the occasion, Shri Ravindra Nath,CMD,NSIC urged each employee of the corporation to inculcate cleanliness as habit in their day to day life by Keeping their workplace, home and surroundings clean. During this Pakhwada, various initiatives have been planned by NSIC offices in association with local industry associations across the country including Seminar on adoption of Innovative Technologies on Cleanliness

GAIL (India) Ltd. Is a Central Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, with the mission of accelerating and optimizing the effective and economic use of Natural Gas and its fractions for the benefit of the national economy. As part of GAIL’s diversification and promoting new entrepreneurs, GAIL has taken up an initiative under “Pankh” and created a corpus of Rs. 50 Crores for Investment in Start-Ups. GAIL have completed the 1st round of solicitation and they are now planning to open 2nd round for receiving fresh proposals on their Core Business Areas through the website www.gailonline.com. The Portal for the 2nd round shall be open for 20 days from 1st June to 20th June, 2018.
Guest of Honour Sh. P. Udayakumar, Director (Planning & Marketing) NSIC participated in the concurrent conference of SUBCON 2018 “Small is Big” and gave a presentation on “Support services of NSIC to MSMEs for fostering their growth and the ways to compete in the global market”. The event was organized by The Coimbatore District Small Industries Association (CODISSIA) on 25.05.2018 at Coimbatore, TamilNadu.
A meet on the schemes of Ministry of MSME for the Development of MSME Units in aspirational Districts at Moga & Ferozepur was organized with NSSHO Ludhiana on 23.05.2018. Representatives of the MSME-DI, Ludhiana namely Sh. R.K. Parmar, Deputy Director, Sh. Kundan Lal, Assistant Director & Nodal Office of Moga District, Sh. Alam, Assistant Director and Nodal Officer of Ferozepur District were also present with the representative from KVIC.The meeting at Moga was organized in the meeting hall of Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Moga. The meeting was presided by Sh. Rajesh Tripathi (PCS) Additional Deputy Commissioner, Moga and Sh. Lal Vishwas Ben (PCS) Assistant Commissioner (General), Moga were also present. Representatives from the leading associations of MSME of Moga District participated in the meeting with aspiring entrepreneurs of SC Category. The Moga Agro Industry Association, Moga Industrial Welfare Association, Moga Non-power soap Manufacturing Association and District Brick Kiln Owners Association were among the important associations in the participation.Similarly, the second meeting was also organized at Ferozepur, aspirational district of the Punjab in the meeting hall of the office of the Deputy Commissioner Ferozepur. The meeting was presided over by Sh. Ram Vir (IAS) Deputy Commissioner Ferozepur. Sh. Ranjit Singh (PCS) Assistant Commissioner (General) Ferozepur was also present in the meeting. The meeting at Ferozepur were also attended by Leading Associations namely Ferozepur Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Rice Mills Association, The Talwandi Bhai Agri Impliment Manufacturers Association etc.
NSIC Technical Services Centre, New Delhi & Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology, Patiala, Punjab signed an MoU to synergize the resources by imparting training during internship to the students of Thapar Institute on the technologies placed in Advance Training Centre in NSIC Technical Services Centre, Okhla. Mr. Satvinder Singh, Chief General Manager, NSIC & Prof. Prakash Gopalan, Registrar, Thapar Institute signed and exchanged MOU on 24th May, 2018 in the presence of Mr. Om Prakash Singh, DGM from NSIC & Mr. Charanjiv Singh, Mr. Karminder Jit Singh and other officials from Thapar Institute. This initiative would help Thapar institute students to enhance their knowledge by getting hands on training on latest technologies under the guidance of qualified and experienced faculties of NSIC Technical Service Centre at Okhla.
On the occasion of Anti Terrorism Day, Shri Ravindra Nath,CMD,NSIC alongwith all the NSIC Employees took the Anti Terrorism Pledge. Speaking on the occasion, Shri Ravindra Nath, CMD,NSIC also motivated all NSICians to give their best performance thereby facilitating increase in Business under various schemes each year. NSIC Technical Service Center at Okhla successfully imparted the training program on Computer Hardware & Software to the senior officials of “Office of Registrar General of India” (ORGI). The participants applauded the practical training delivery by the faculties of the center to Mr. Janardan Yadav, Additional Registrar General who had interacted with the participants on 16.05.2018. Mr. Janardan Yadav expressed appreciation and agreed to take up the similar training program in the center in the period ahead.
