Shri Vijayendra IAS , AM Cadre, took over as Chairman & Managing Director,the National Small Industries Corporation Ltd today. On his first day, the Chairman interacted with NSIC Directors on Board and Senior officials at NSIC 's,Corporate Headquarters, NSIC Bhawan,Okhla Industrial Estate, New Delhi. Prior to this appointment, Sh. Vijayendra ,IAS was Joint Secretary in Ministry of Defence, Government of India . In his new assignment as the Chairman of the NSIC ,he will lead to achieve NSIC organisational goals of providing world-class service provider for the MSME sector. Shri P.Udayakumar, Director(P&M),NSIC and Shri Gaurang Dixit, Director(Finance),NSIC greeted him on assuming the charge of CMD,NSIC today

Shri P. Udayakumar, Director (Planning & Marketing) welcomed the delegation led by Mr.Petrus Ralda, Managing Director, SME Corporation, Papua New Guinea (PNG) at NSIC On 04.11.2019. Director (P&M) apprised of various activities of NSIC for the promotion of MSMEs in the country and abroad. He also discussed the opportunities for cooperation between the two countries in the MSME sector. The delegation from PNG also visited NSIC's Technical Incubation Centre for creating self-employment opportunities and Advanced Training Centre for upgrading the skills of Youth. Also present were Shri. Satvinder Singh, CGM and Shri O.P.Singh, Head, NTSC (Okhla).

Shri.P.Ravi Kumar,Chief General Manager,NSIC South-1 and Shashank Ananth, Co-Founder, Virtual Metalstreet, signed an MoU in Bangalore for the supply of metals to all MSMEs. This MoU aims to provide a robust metals sourcing mechanism for MSMEs which would in turn help enhance their efficiency and profitability. This E-Commerce. Platform involving Reverse auctioning process for procuring metals at competitive rates.

Shri. P. Udayakumar, Director (P&M) was member of the pannel discussion and also delivered a lecture on " Agri and Food Processing Sector -For food security " at CII-EXIM Bank Regional Conclave on India-West Asia and North Africa in Cairo, Egypt.

NSSHO-Bangalore alongwith DICCI , APEDA (Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development) & IIFPT (Indian Institute of Food Processing Technology) organized AWARENESS PROGRAMME for SC-ST Entrepreneurs on 30th October 2019. Programme was inaugurated by Hon.Jagadish Shettar, Minister of Large & Medium Scale Industries, Shri.P.Ravi Kumar, Chief General Manager, NSIC, South-I, Shri.Padmashree Miling Kamble, Founder Chairman DICCI, Shri.Raja Nayak, President DICCI SOUTH INDIA , Shri.R.Ravindra, DGM, APEDA, also present were Smt.A.Kokila, Branch Head, NSSHO-Bangalore, Shri.Dinesh Shankar, President DICCI, Tamil Nadu, Shri.Perumal Chinnaswamy, President DICCI, Karnataka and various other Dignitaries.

NSIC Technical Service Centre (NTSC), Howrah signed MoU with Indian Electrical & Electronics Manufacturers’ Association (IEEMA) on 1st November, 2019 with an aim to create training facilitation jointly to address the requirements of skills by the industries. MoU was signed by Mr. Subodh Jaiswal, GM, NTSC, Howrah & Mr. Sunil Mishra, DG, IEEMA in presence of IEEMA members.

National Small Industries Corporation Ltd., (NSIC) and Indian Oil Corporation Ltd., (IOCL) organized a Vendor Development Programme in partnership with Karnataka Small Scale Industries Association (KASSIA) on 4TH November 2019, for the benefit of MSE suppliers in Karnataka. The meet was aimed at promoting vendor development among the micro & small enterprises by the IOCL in meeting its procurement requirements. Sri P. Ravikumar, Chief General Manager, NSIC inaugurating the vendor development meet emphasized that the meet was specially organized to benefit MSE suppliers with respect to opportunities with IOCL, which is a large procurer of supplies from the sector. Sri R. Raju, President, KASSIA welcomed the gathering and presided over the meeting. A detailed presentation was made on the supply opportunities in IOCL for the MSEs. He said Kassia was particularly happy that a large corporation like the IOCL was present here as an important part of the VDP. Being a major buyer in the public sector, their presence and encouragement and interaction with MSEs present here will be of great benefit to the participants. Sri R. Sundareswaran, General Manager, (Contract Cell) IOCL particularly explained the e-tendering process and the details of how SMEs can utilize the opportunities to supply to IOCL. He particularly mentioned that they would prefer MSE suppliers registered with NSIC for making such supplies considering the duly diligence process involved in the registration of suppliers with IOCL. Kassia Office Bearers, Sri K.R. Karunakaran, DGM, IOCL, Sri S. Rajamoni, NSSHO, NSIC Sri M. Sreevatsan, DGM, NSIC and other Senior Officers participated in the programme. A large number of Kassia Members and MSEs participated in the vendor development meet.

NSIC observed The Birth Anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel as "RASHTRIYA EKTA DIWAS (National Unity Day)” on 31.10.20-19 and officers and employees administered "RASHTRIYA EKTA DIWAS PLEDGE" on this occasion.

DPM visited ITILtd, Palakkad which is printing NSIC Loyality Card and addressed the HoDs on opportunities in MSME sector.
