A delegation led by Shri B.B. Swain, Secretary (MSME), Ministry of MSME, comprising of Ms. Mercy Epao, JS (SME), Shri Gaurang Dixit, CMD, NSIC, Mr. Sunil Tyagi, GM-SG (IC), Ms. Adiba Bari, Manager (IC), NSIC, representative from AMTZ and 9 Indian enterprises from medical devices sector visited Taiwan during 30 Nov-02 Dec 2022 for the first meeting of India-Taiwan SME Cooperation Forum organized in association with Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI) and India Taipei Association. The forum focused on the Healthcare sector, with the theme- Electronic Manufacturing for the Healthcare Sector. The Indian business delegates witnessed the potential of the two countries to scale up business and leveraged from each others strength. Several networking meetings were also organized. During the 3 day programme, the Indian delegation visited the Healthcare+ Expo Taiwan, Hsinchu Biomedical Science Park, Taiwan Integrated Biomedical Industrial Center (TIBIC), Intelligent Machinery Technology Center and Plastics Industry Development Center (PIDC) Industrial centres in Taichung.

On the occasion of 70th Constitution Day, Shri Gaurang Dixit, CMD, NSIC readout the Preamble to Constitution along with NSIC employees at Corporate Office, New Delhi on 26th November, 2022. Speaking on the occasion, he stated that we must commit ourselves to the constitutional values of our democratic nation and honour the principles of Justice, Liberty of thought, expression, Equality of status and Fraternity in our day to day life. All NSIC officers across the country also celebrated the Constitution Day in their respective offices.

Shri Narayan Tatu Rane, Hon’ble Cabinet Minister of MSME and Shri Bhanu Pratab Singh Verma, Hon’ble Minister of State (MSME) in the presence of Shri B. B Swain, Secretary MSME, Shri Gaurang Dixit, CMD, NSIC inaugurated the NSIC Pavilion on 15th Nov, 2022 at the 41st India International Trade Fair being held at Pragati Maidan .The NSIC has set up a display of 268 MSEs (SC/ST Enterprises) under the NSSH scheme wherein Units are participating in from across the country such as , Maharashtra Rajasthan, Karnataka, Punjab, Gujarat, UP, Haryana, West Bengal, Telangana etc. in the product line i.e Handicraft, textile, Food products, Leather, Gems & Jewellery, Furnishing, Embroidery & Laces, Paper Product, Herbal & Ayurvedic/Unani, Inlay Paintings, Hair product etc.

Shri Gaurang Dixit, CMD, NSIC in the presence of Shri D.K. Agrawal, CVO, NSIC administered the Integrity Pledge for Organizations and Citizens on the occasion of Vigilance Awareness Week, 2022 (31st October – 06th November, 2022) to NSIC employees. Speaking on the occasion, he urged the employees to follow these integrity pledges in their day-to-day life for corruption free India. The Vigilance Awareness Week campaign affirms our commitment for promotion of integrity amongst the citizens of the country.

NSIC in cooperation with its counterpart, Korea SMEs & Start-up Agency (KOSME), South Korea organized a webinar on Global Trend of AR/VR Technology & Latest Trend of AR/VR Technology in Korea on October 19, 2022 for officials & trainees of NSIC Technical Service Centres. The honoured speakers of the webinar were Ms. Marryam Chaudry, CEO for XR2 LEAD & Mr. Yun Geuk Kang, Professor of Computer Graphics Sejong University in Seoul. 67 Participants including NSIC officials and trainees from eight Technical Service Centres across the country participated in the webinar.

Shri Narayan Tatu Rane, Hon’ble Minister of MSME, Ministry of MSME, Govt. of India graced the occasion of MoU signing between the National Small Industries Corporation Ltd. (NSIC) and Phillips Machine Tools India Pvt. Ltd. for Skill Development Training in Additive Technologies on October 18, 2022 at Ministry of MSME, Udyog Bhawan. Shri B.B. Swain, Secretary (MSME), Shri Gaurang Dixit, CMD, NSIC and Ms. Mercy Epao, Joint Secretary (SME) were also present on the occasion. The MoU was signed by Shri Navin Chopra, CGM-SG (Tech. /MIS), NSIC. Shri Narayan Tatu Rane, Hon’ble Minister of MSME stated that the signing of this MoU between NSIC and Phillips India will be a significant step for preparing skilled manpower in additive technologies which is the future of manufacturing. He stated that both organizations can leverage their expertise and create excellent opportunities for MSMEs in this upcoming field. Mr. Sunil Tyagi, GM-SG (IC, Exhb. & HR), Mr. Rajesh Kumar, GM (Tech), NSIC, Mr. O.P. Singh, GM, NSIC were also present on the occasion.

Shri Gaurang Dixit, CMD, NSIC, addressed the Healthcare Sector enterprises on the occasion of Birth Anniversary of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, Former President of India at Andhra Pradesh Medtech Zone, Visakhapatnam as Guest of Honour alongwith Dr. Jitender K. Sharma, CEO, AMTZ & Dr. Archana Sharma, Head of International Relations at CERN, Geneva. During his visit, Sh. Dixit along with Dr. Archana Sharma inaugurated facilities of Makers’ Hive, which has developed “KALARM”, India’s first fully functional Bionic Hand, with 18 pre-defined grips and bespoke aesthetics, Tele Radiology Solutions, Wakon Healthcare and launched Biomedical Maintenance Quality Management System by AMTZ- AiMeD and AHPI. Sunil Tyagi, GM-SG, International Cooperation, NSIC, K. Srinivas, Zonal Head, South-II and President AHPI were also present during the occasion.

श्री भानु प्रताप सिंह वर्मा जी, माननीय राज्य मंत्री , सूक्ष्म , लघु और मध्यम उद्यम मंत्रालय ,भारत सरकार ने राष्ट्रीय लघु उघोग निगम-तकनीकी सेवा केन्द्र (अलीगढ़) का दिनांक 14.10.2022 को दौरा किया । माननीय मंत्री महोदय ने केन्द्र मे स्थापित विभिन्न आधुनिक तकनीको युक्त मशीनों का निरीक्षण किया तथा उनके बारे में गहन रुचि लेकर जानकारी ली। श्री टी.एस राजपूत,महाप्रबंधक नें केन्द्र की विभिन्न गतिविधियों तथा उपलब्धियों के विषय में मंत्री महोदय को अवगत कराया । माननीय मंत्री महोदय ने एम एस एम ई क्षेत्र में इस केन्द्र के योगदान को सराहा । मंत्री महोदय ने निगम के सभी अधिकारियों को संबोधित किया और कहा कि माननीय प्रधानमंत्री जी की योजनाओं एंव अपेक्षाओ के अनुरुप हम सभी को सूक्ष्म , लघु और मध्यम उद्यम क्षेत्र के विकास हेतु तत्परता के साथ कार्य करते रहना है । इस अवसर पर श्री राम कुमार यादव, उप- महाप्रबंधक तथा निगम के अन्य अधिकारी /कर्मचारी भी उपस्थित रहे।
